Looked very nervy today doesn’t look ready yet imo, definitely think a loan would benefit him needs to grow his confidence playing men’s football.

He’s miles away from being ready. As I keep saying, if our strategy is to rely on kids to fill our Second string squad depth, we are going to regress as a club.

I didn't think he played badly. Thought he was aggressive and tried to move the ball on quickly. He will gain confidence and composure with age. Hope to see more of him, although we shouldn't heap any expectation on him.

Thought he did relatively well. It was the lack of movement in front of him was the problem.

I thought he was dreadful today unfortunately, gave the ball away so many times. Don’t like to be critical of a kid but hard to see if he’s ready for the step up just yet. The only positive that I could see is that no matter how many times he lost the ball he never shyed away from taking possession.

Mightnt feel like it now, but important experience for him.

CM wasn't our problem tonight. He didn't look out of place and that says a lot considering his age and the position he plays. Massive talent as far as I'm concerned.

Thought he did alright to be fair, bit risk adverse with the passing sideways and backwards but that seems to be a recurring theme with our CM’s so maybe they are coached to literally recycle the ball to death.

Didn't think he was great but he was with Dier who offered absolutley nothing. It says something when i was thinking for Poch to throw Foyth into central midfield.

Great performance given his age and experience. Well done lad.

Absolutely obscene how much criticism he’s coming in for. I know he’ll be wel shielded from our more obnoxious fans though.

To be fair, there were a number of our players that kept giving the ball away too.

He’s still a young lad getting a bit of experience. There were several more experienced players who were worse than him today. He also works hard but clearly needs more time to improve.

He certainly wasn’t the only one giving the ball away, but he’s the only one with his name on this thread. The criticism was balanced with positives that he didn’t shy away but the point stands.

I mentioned before a friend is a scout and watches all the kids. He says we don't have one player better than average to come through, which is worrying . He says skipp is very average he with limited ability. He did look very average today

Compare his start to Winks. Harry was introduced far more sparingly and over a greater period of time, as we weren't ravaged by injuries. Skipp deserves patience and a proper blooding at PL level. His composure and ability on the ball is there to see.

Well I’m sure your friend has a better grasp of Skipps ability than Poch and his team.

Hopefully the melts will get their way and when Poch gets sacked your friend will get the job.

Comments like this really aren't helpful mate. Maybe watch Skipp and make your own mind up?

The first half, which was painful to behold, left Skipp one of the only players in my book worthy of notice. He did fine, in an.abject side with no real idea on what it wanted to achieve. Dier, clearly off the pace post injury layoff, wasn't the best cm partner for him.

Kids got a great future. Albeit he isn't the answer to spurs cm woes right now.
