We certainly don’t have to worry about him physically which is highly unusual for an 18 year old. He’s a unit.
Fantastic if he steps up in Dier’s absence.

Thought he was solid even when given a couple of hospital passes.

He also passed forward on occasion too. A good debut.

What's great about Oliver Skipp is his ability to bring so many fans of different rivals together. Just this weekend, several of my mates with receding hairlines were saying how brave it is to see a Spurs player losing his hair in his teens.

We sung around a campfire, toasted marshmallows and wanked each other off to photos of Duncan Goodhew.

And then I reminded them that the new White Hart Lane is the only place to watch Champions League football this season, shat on their 'mallows and came on their pillows.

That'll teach them for saying anything about one of our players.

With Dier out until new year, should mean lots of changes for Skipp now so a positive to take out of a... Dier situation... :sneaky:

(Would obviously prefer Dier available but Skipp really does seem real deal and sometimes things like this open the door).

Sorry but can you imagine the comments if that was someone we were intending to buy. There was one decent tackle and one decent pass. I’m prepared to give him benefit of doubt as I’ve seen him play a lot better. But that was about as average as debut as you could ever get.
He's 18, making his PL debut against a parked bus, shouldn't expect him to come out and be the second coming of Pirlo.

If people want to get carried away with one of our academy kids, why not let them?

Yeah looked considerably better today than in his debut. Obviously got the requisite technique and seems to understand his role.

Been saying it for a while. This kid has a great future.
He's got great technical ability aligned with a fierce mentality, and you need both to make it to the top.

Good that poch is really giving him minutes, wish he'd do the same for kwp as I don't trust trippier defensively

Great play today! Such a good testament to our youth setup to see our boys succeed. Long way to go yet, but with him, Parrott, Amos (when recovered) along with KWP and a few others, our future looks bright, COYS!

We could really really use Amos now, what a shame...still have high hope for him, at least a solid rotational player for us.

I really feel for Amos imo his injury has cost his chance with us. With Sissoko's revival, Skipp will be firmly ahead of him by the time match fit again, and were absolutely loaded at his position behind him with Bowden, TOB and my favourite Harvey White.
