Player Watch Player Watch: Ryan Sessegnon

So the Sessegnon signing is a rumoured double deal for Ryan and Steven, with Steven loaned back to Fulham.

Maybe the hold up is about the loan back for Steven in that we perhaps need him now for first team right back cover given injury to Foyth.

We aren’t signing a youth team player from the Championship as a first team right back.

As much I want Dybala, Coutinho and GLC, Sess could be our most important long term signing of this window.

He feels so much to me like our next Bale. Not that I have felt him or Bale

Hope we get both. From his age related England appearances Steven looks like a good prospect as well and is versatile. These seem like Poch players and may well have more game time than we think. I still think though that much depends on us selling/loaning a number of fringe players

If we get two AMs in I'm not sure how Sess fits in the squad unless we're selling Rose, loaning him back or view him as our third choice LB. If we're sacrificing Rose to get him in, I don't want Sess this window. We need Rose more than we need Sess this campaign.

Watched the highlights of the last friendly - it looked as if Rose played at his very best. Trying to impress someone! (Hopefully the Spurs management)

He would only be cover for Foyth until he is ready to return. Would probably only feature in League cup games.

I'm not saying he should immediately be a first choice right back.

He’s not even played a single minute of league football for Fulham. He’s just not ready. If we signed him he’d go into the u23 squad.

If we announce Sessegnon today I can just imagine the amount of ‘whatever’, ‘where’s Dybala?!’ and ‘Next!’ replies to the Tweet.

Poor bloke. I actually think he’d be a top class signing, given some time.

Yup, that was exactly the case when we announced Clarke and people were just screaming for Ndombele.

Although I agree. He is fairly much a signing for the future. While Dybala is world class now,

Sess and Clarke - if they fill potential what a pairing, and also a return to Spurs buying top tier young English talent, something I approve of as we seemed to have, since Deli, aired away from.

Fingers crossed this moves soon.

I'm honestly meh about Dybala, Sess before last season was one of the most sought after talents in England, if not Europe.

Dybala would be the biggest profile signing in Spurs history. Though I've said Sessegnon is one of the ones I'm most excited about, being "meh" about the prospect of Dybala in a Spurs shirt is fuckin' bananas.
