I’m happier when I see Trippier starting instead of him. Not impressed me at all since joining.

TBH he's impressed more than Trippier this season which is why he's first choice.
Much more to come from Serge, he's done pretty well all things considered, didn't have a pre-season and first year in the Prem in a demanding system is tough.

I hope you’re right mate and he does improve, because at the minute he looks bang average to me.
The main reason I’m happier when Trippier plays is the assists he is capable of.
Eh. After a good start to the season, Trippier has been pretty poor since(even besides the City game where he was an unmitigated disaster). Thats why many people have been calling for KWP to be 2nd choice 6 months earlier than it is probably planned

Trippier came on for 10 odd mins got roasted 3 times and got yellow carded.
Didn’t even get a cross in either.
He’s a far worse player than Aurier

Agreed it’s just frustrating with the wingbacks we had in Walker and Rose and the football we played with them in the side, compared to this season.
As a team we have gone backwards as a result of this I think.

I find it staggering that Trippier has gone backwards this year, this was the season he was meant to step up...his attacking play which is is strength has actually been non existent.

Trippier and Aurier are basically both OK. Neither are as good as walker. But then none of the other top 6 really have an outstanding right back. The combination of Aurier/Trippier probably is the 2nd best option over walker in the league. Yes we are slightly weaker in that area but it’s no excuse for likely being 5 pts off top 4.

I think he has settled in a lot faster than many of our foreign signings, so I have high hopes for him next season.
Usually takes a year to settle in to their surroundings, and he has already out in some good performances (with some blips too).
As for the walker comparisons.... I actually think that aurier is a better crosser and better at passing.
My crazy prediction is that this time next year aurier will be a better player than walker.

I think both Trippier and Aurier are better footballers than Walker. Walker has the power and pace they don't but I really don't think Walker is an amazing player, just very effective at what he does.

Goes to show that although skewed by Tripper playing 3 more games. By most metrics he's performing better than Aurier.
For what it's worth, I think Aurier will improve significantly under Poch and think he's a great signing. He's been extremely patchy though
