If they want to sell one of them I think it should be the other way round. I believe Trippier is a much better prospect than Aurier. He's improved a lot this season and his crossing is a lot better than Aurier. Southgate might even make him first choice over Walker at the WC.

Agreeded but Walker is the better full back, trips has by far the best delivery.

Aurier needs to be a lot better in defence and attack.

I hoped Aurier would settle quickly and be better this season but he definitely fell behind Trips.

Not prepared to give up on him yet. A full pre season could/should make all the difference - he has the potential to be a beast.

I still don’t understand why people think a preseason will change him as a player and knock out the brainfarts. It makes no sense. It’s not like he hasn’t been training with the club since he’s been here.

Those expecting a massive improvement from him are in for disappointment I feel.

Walker still has those brainfart moments for Man City after having them for us. No amount of preseasons has knocked those out of him has it?

Aurier is 26 years old he is not going to get better and I say any person who makes 3 foul throws in one game is never going to learn to improve and to prefer him to tripper evenKWP is laughable

A player that is prone to those lapses in concentration will probably always be but a pre season is about fitness, belonging, consistent messages, team play and the player feeling absolutely part of all that the team is trying to achieve.

So I do believe that you can't fully judge a Poch signing until he has had that pre season.

Yep cause players never improve later on in their careers.

Aurier on his game is a significantly better player than Trippier. Theres a reason a lot of people on here freaked out early in the season every time Trippier started against a Man City, Real Madrid, Dortmund, etc.

Significantly better at what exactly?

If that were true, why do you think Trippier got selected for just about every important game?

Didn't Poch come out and say something like Trippier is/could be one of the best England players.
Can't see him selling him over Aurier if that's his opinion.

I said on his game. Serge clearly didn't have a great season but Serge's top is much better than Tripps IMO. Now whether or not he can reach that constintently who knows. I think he can recover better on defense, pass better in midfield, has a ton more tricks up his sleeve to add to the offense, etc.

He is quicker, but I don’t know what you basing the rest on? Trippier is more intelligent, and his forward play is significantly better than Auriers, his midfield play better too.

I like Aurier, but KWP is the future and the future is now.

No harm giving him another season though.

Walker massively improved under Poch tho, so Aurier can do the same. He'll never be perfect but history's proven that Poch always improves full-backs.

So many tough calls to make when it comes to our fullbacks...

IMO we should give all 3 the preseason before deciding to whether or not to loan anyone out. I think KWP is the future at RB but he desperately needs more matches, and if Poch does not rate him as one of the top 2 RBs then I can see where a loan could be beneficial. If Aurier can put it all together consistently he can be a very good player, however it remains to be seen IF he can do that.

I would like to see KWP make the right back spot his own within the next season or two because it would show the rest of our talented academy players that there is a path to the first team. I hated see Bennetts leave for Gladbach as I think he could have developed into a nice LB/LWB/Winger for us but understand that he probably didn't see a path to the first team and did what was best for his career.

If nothing else, it is nice to have sufficient depth at the right back position
