Been a big critic of Aurier but the last 2 matches he has been much improved.
Reckless sliding tackles seem to be reducing.
Works very hard.

Back 3 might be the answer for that one
Gotta be, play the same formation we did against Real. But have Wanyama/Dier, Dembele and Eriksen in midfield and then Kane and someone else up there to support. Tough to leave out Lamela but I know Poch will play Dele if he is fit.

Having just seen the replay for their first he was very poor.
Whilst perhaps he could have reacted quicker I don't think he is entirely to blame. Alderweireld got drawn in after Sanchez had been beaten, this created a huge space for Success to move into and Aurier is actually having to take care of two attackers. The defence was set, but as soon as Sanchez got beaten the whole defence was exposed and it happened in the blink of an eye.

Yeah, several to blame on that.

You can disagree all you want @Shadydan. He was just watching Success inside him the whole time and didn't react until it was too late.

Watching inside ?

He was covering our cbs who failed to deal with first situation, firstly Sanchez not winning the ball and the o’holy Toby who was in no mans land.

He shouldn’t of needed to be in that position if they did their jobs

He had more than enough time to react. He starts slowly jogging to Success and didn't sprint until the ball was played. He should have been getting goal side the second Sanchez lost the challenge, not after the pass was made. He wasn't solely to blame but he still should have done a lot better.

He wasn't covering for them. That's the point. It's his job to cover for them when the ball is on the other side of the field and he failed. It's basic defending. He could see the whole thing unfolding and did nothing.

He’s fucked

Bad news for him as he was going up in form
The dream scenario right now would be that KWP takes his chance and when Aurier comes back he and KWP is our 2 RB and we sell Trippier but what will happen is Trippier will play 95% of the games and Poch will suddenly stop rotating our RB’s

Why does your 'dream scenario's entail us selling our best RB?

Trippier is our most overrated player, he’s not our best RB
Would much rather have Aurier and KWP as our 2 RB’s

I think Tripper is vulnerable defensively in a back 4, but he has been much better than Aurier over the past year and a bit (not a difficult task, but that's the level of competition). KWP could be anything, but right now he's still an unknown quantity at the top level. To say he's better than Tripper is simply wrong.

The whole thing happened in about 1.5 seconds and he's looking along the line to see Toby covering so at that stage he probably feels the situation is under control. If you watch it back as soon as Success moves Aurier goes too. I think it's just unfortunate.

Yeah it's just over-analysing.

Wrong. Toby should have been picking up the pieces when Sanchez failed to win the ball, success was a lone CF
Wrong :ROFLMAO: Have you even seen the replay for the goal?

Success started initially outside of Aurier. They flicked it on and when Winks stretched for the ball Success started coming in field. That's when Aurier should have too. He initially reacted but then half heartedly went into a jog. Success was beside Aurier when Sanchez lost the challenge. Success sprinted towards the goal when they won it while Aurier was on his heels. He had two chances to get goal side and didn't.

Alderweireld was in a fine position if Aurier actually done his job.

Alderweireld had no idea that Success was in between him and Aurier. He didn't look over his shoulder once and I presume Aurier never gave him a shout either. Aurier sees the whole thing happening and shouldn't have left Success get goal side in the first place.

Typical he gets injured after his best couple performances in a Spurs shirt. Luckily we have kwp to fill the void

Who'd have thought, 2 weeks ago, we'd be gutted about Aurier picking up an injury.

Hopefully this run of form is the start of really good things for him.

I regularly dream of selling England’s first choice RB. Again.

Fevered, they are.
