I know but I do think it gives you an insight into his character in that he takes his eye off the ball. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the kind of thing poch picked up on. Doesn't really seem like a winner's mentality to me.

Considering it was his first ever game for us against a very threatening side in the CL at Wembley I thought he was sensational.

Looks a class above Trippier for us after just 90 mins, already you can tell he's gonna be a fantastic signing.

I thought he looked great, much faster than I expected. Some people on here really bemuse me and don't seem to see football as what it is, this was the guys debut, at Wembley, with limited training in the first team against a top European side.

We have an absolute gem! Apart from his pace, strength, defensive nous, crossing ability with either foot, coolness and close control in tight spaces, I was really impressed with his passing and link-up play.

He linked up with Eriksen particularly well a few times. He spotted runs and fed advancing players with clever, skilful, nicely-weighted passes, even when he was under pressure. I think he'll integrate really well into the team and improve us in so many ways.

A fine first game for us. Thinking about at what Poch usually does with full backs, and I'm getting quite erect.

I was about to say that's ok since we haven't had one in the Poch era (I don't remember one) but Jan went and ruined that.

Someone's already mentioned Dele, but Naughton got a red in Pochettino's very first game at West Ham and Fazio got one at the Etihad in the same season.

Anyway, it took Aurier 25-30 minutes to find his feet (not that he was poor in that time, mind you), but after that he was excellent. He's mad though, and we're bound to be equal parts amazed, equal parts frustrated at times. He has that flair and daring that makes him seem a 'Spurs-type' player.

agreed....his daring and aggression will cost us a couple of times, save us a couple of times and win for us a couple of times. With three in the back and speedy Sanchez one of them, he's perfect as a wing back in that setup.

I agree that Tripps is not up to standard, but he can be given game time against the smaller teams to allow Serge and KWP time to rest between the bigger fixtures.
