Not disagreeing but what have you seen to make you thinks he's very talented because I must have missed it. Cant cross and can't defend.

Say what you like about developing but I've seen enough of KWP to prefer him ahead of Aurier.

Didn't he cross for Alli's goal against Bournemouth?

He has too many brain farts agreed but think he actually composed himself pretty well after the pen for half an hour or so, jury is still out for me and will be until next season.

Yep - I think you have to give all players two seasons before decision.

Let’s say he’s not in credit at the moment mind.

Although it didn't happen today, I've never seen a professional footballer playing for a top club in one of the best leagues in the world, commit so many fouls throws in a single season.

At the moment, recovery pace would be the height of it. Robust in the tackle perhaps.

But clumsy and on the ball in attacking areas is painful to watch - at the moment I stress.

Poch got a big project on his hands here.

Poch can help, but attacking awareness, decision making, crossing and composure are very unlikely to significantly improve at his age. We need FBs who can create and give genuine outlets. Serge is not the guy.

Was excited when we signed Aurier. To be honest he’s been a complete disaster from day one. Really struggling to see how Pochettino can coach him to the required level. So erratic and clumsy. Very surprised at how extremely poor he’s been. Nowhere near good enough at present.

Walker and Rose seem to have made decent careers despite being fucking terrible at crossing.

I think Aurier’s problems are psychological rather than to do with ability. Best time to judge him is next season. If he still making the same errors then I agree, get rid

What happens when we 'get rid' and the next player that replaces him shows inconsistency like Serge has, you gonna scream for him to be sold as well?

He needs another season but lack of ability on the ball in the final third is a concern to say the least.

I tend to agree although there's no guarantees. No guarantees that Serge will emerge a different player next season and not definitive that a new signing will take a year to adapt (case in point Sanchez).

I'd keep him probably unless someone exceptional became available.

Yeah it's a risk but I think the less risky and most sensible option is just by sticking by him and trusting the management to improve him.

Rose definitely was.

I remember wincing every time an opposition player went near him
around the box. Constantly rash with tackles.

No one really rated him on here either.

Poch improved him so much. This is why I want to give Aurier a chance. He really reminds me of Rose under AVB.

How many penalties did rose give away? Serious question btw. Aurier 3 penalties over the course of the season and could have cost us against west ham. Kwp was motm on his debut probably thinking he should be playing

Levy signed 'an opportunity' in Aurier. I don't believe for a minute that we scouted him. Same with Sissoko and same with Llorente. Didn't we really want Ricardo Pereira?

I know the penalty was a bit soft, but Aurier has an unfortunate habit of letting players in on the inside of him, and when they get goal side he either lunges in desperately or clumsily can’t get out of their way.

Sometimes you have to take your medicine and just let the play go on to it’s conclusion.

Even with rose the way he controls the ball, runs with the ball, strikes the ball its so natural. With Aurier it just looks too bumbly

I think he’s been incredibly erratic and not reliable. However I do think he’s been impressive in some games.

Bottom line, in their early days I thought Trippier, Davies and Rose were all either average (Trippier and Davies) or a complete liability (Rose), so i’m keen to see if Poch can do something with this guy.

I’m willing to eat humble pie next season if he turns into the right back we all want him to. But based on what I’ve seen upto now. I think he will be sold next summer.
