I am not really an Aurier fan if I’m honest but I have to say that he was superb today. He looked like everything I was expecting him to be when we bought him, aggressive, fast, food distribution and out in some dangerous crosses. For me that was his best performance in a spurs shirt so far

For me he’s always had lots of potential to be the complete full-back given time under Poch. He’s slowly starting to now show that. I’ve always rated him highly and prefer him to Trippier, I believe @Hercules has always been a big fan of Aurier also and he’s now starting to show that form. Very solid today and hope he can nail down that RB spot as his pace and atheleticism far better suit the way we play than Trippier.

Provides aggressively fast food distribution too? When does he find the time

Looked very good, I thought both fullbacks were good, no mistakes leading to goals, lets hope he continues to take his opportunity, always difficult when you get a game here or there.

Maturity and consistency were missing....the first part was brilliant today and hopefully the second is shown as the week goes on.

Fast food distribution? So he was working for uber eats during the match? They were shit, but that's just taking the piss?

Loved his tackle on Hazard. Don’t like to see any footballer injured but... fuck Chelsea.

Hazard should have been off after his dive/elbow combo anyway. Serge knee. Terrific performance.

The amount of times Hazard got in the area and I was waiting for Aurier to jump in and give away a penalty and every time he stood up and blocked the route to goal - I was very impressed. Seems to have matured a lot this season. Good lad.

I do wonder how much of it is due to acclimating to the language regarding getting caught out and positioning. If you go back and watch the promo/funny videos Tottenham posted last season Sissoko had to translate everything for him as he didn't speak English.

In the Haunted house video they posted over Halloween weekend he can now speak English. I can only imagine that would help.

I wonder if Poch speaks French, tho? Played for PSG, didn't he?

Also down to having a proper pre season. He didn't train with psg much last summer, can't be easy coming into a Poch side in England at full back and not feeling truly conditioned for it.
