I've not watched the highlights but from your viewing as I've never noticed it in many leagues does he have to deal with 2 banks of 4 too often? we suffer it roughly 30 games a season in the league. players like N'jie and GKN looked good because the highlights showed the French league as being pretty open

Yep. I’m massively nervous about spending so much on a player from the French leagues. But he’s linked with so many good teams so must have something about him. Watching clips of the other two before they joined us showed me they were nothing special

He was outstanding v City back in September, if that helps at all.

What makes you say that, every other player beginning with ‘N’ we signed from the french league went beautifully

You are still a way off there !

We are going to be strong next season and you know i'm the best 'pooh-pooher' there has ever been and never give false hope ;) *

*(well i did once and got completely burnt like everyone else on Moutinio inc the manager but that was a freak turnaround)

Before we get excited, that could just mean players spending more time in the gym ....?

Watched some vs. highlights of Ndombele and very impressed. Agile, deals with pressure very well, passes forward and technically sound. He would be superb for us both as an 8 in a 4-3-3 and also as part of a double pivot. The Sissoko comparisons seem a bit lazy, he seems to want to prefer releasing the ball earlier than Sissoko does.

This sort of thing is what we've been lacking though. Even Dembele was guilty of holding onto the ball for too long. When needing to break down a defensive side we need to be able to get our attacking players in between the lines before opposition defences are set. Ndombele would be a great attacking option and when needing to play a bit more conservatively we can stick Winks in there to help us retain possession with safer passes.

Well stronger than last season has to mean better fullbacks, a Dembele replacement and an Eriksen replacement/backup cos they are the glaring gaps in the squad...so that’s hopefully at least 4 new faces.

Stronger than last season could mean one player. open to any interpretation. I’d like to hear we are going to be hugely stronger

What I love about him is the speed with which he turns thought into action. It's like his brain is hard-wired to his feet with zero buffering.
Blimey!!!! Those passes through the ‘eye of a needle’ and in unexpected but planned direction. Love the look of him.

I agree, very lazy to compare him to Sissoko; this guy has great technique and can play very well!

Don't know why. Increased pay, Prem League, top manager, Champions League finalists, world class training facilities and stadium and a club going places.
I get we're more attractive than LYon, that's not my point. I'm more worried about him choosing PSG, Juve etc. over us.

2 banks of 4 are very hard to break through when you try to do it by just passing the ball around and trying to find a killer pass. When you have players who will take opponents on it can pull their defence out of shape and create gaps. City do it with players like DeBruyne, B Silva, Stirling and Sane to great effect and it often ends up with a tap in. By contrast, we seem to go predominantly from side to side looking for gaps.

Yep, this is why having Dembele was so key for creating space for our front four. Problem was many times those were wasted because Dembele's passing and vision are average.

In respect to all those who doubt this guy he has been scouted by the best teams in Europe, we never attempt to go for these young pricey players.

Second to that Man city are seeing him as an fernandinho replacement and they have one of the best scouting networks in the world. This guy's ability is far superior to anyone else his age and he proved that in the CL against citeh.
