Didn’t see the game, how did he play?

Why my motm

A refresher in what He's about. No panic, no misscontrols or bad positioning. We looked super tight at the back mostly, not much he could do about our fullbacks.

great accurate long range passes too .

if its under 70 million, someoens getting a right bargain in the summer

He had a great game. Would like to see him, Jan and Sanchez as back 3 Saturday. The guy is 29 years old. He really wants to finish his career off with some major trophies. He is looking on this realistically, and you cannot blame him for seeing he has interest from major clubs both here and abroad, to want to explore those avenues.

I know for a fact he loves it here. And do not believe the media BS that it is purely down to money. If it was just that he would of signed already.
so what does "major trophies" refer to? CL? PL? i don't think any club can guarantee that they can win one of these
also, i don't think any player should blame the club for not winning trophies as the players also have the responsibility to fulfill the club's objective

He showed what he is about. Sanchez is good (surprisingly so for his first season and given his age) and has massive potential to be amazing but Toby is clearly the better defender at this moment in time... He and Jan need to both start (+ or - Sanchez depending on whether we play 3 or 2 at the back)

Hope he starts in a back 3 v Utd. It will give Aurier or Trippier a bit more support v Sanche, Martial, Rashford or whoever. We need to contain them first off and then we can go for it later on.

He played well last night. It seems like the contract situation has got out of control but I would prefer him to stay. I dont think we can get a better player in without spending the big bucks.

I am a big Toby fan but the praise for last night's performance a little ott .. It was against a team that hardly attacked us and had an average slow CF in Murray..

Not if we want to win it wouldn't be and on Sanchez' last showing there's a strong argument for it.

Because we wont win if Sanchez plays? Nonsense.

Can count on one hand the amount of bad games Sanchez has had this season, but you could easily do the Same for Toby in any of his full seasons aswell.

Yeah great apart from the fact that Toby has proved himself time and time again and Sanchez is still a rookie and is more likely to have a poorer match than him so that's a bit of a non-comparison.

I'm not one for necessarily messing up team dynamic and haven't been too impressed with the way Toby has behaved (if ITK reports are to be believed) but I want to give us the best chance of winning the match at he weekend, the question is why wouldn't you play one of the best defenders in the league if you have him at your disposal and he's fit?

Please let’s use. Bit of common here. Citeh’s, Yanited’s, PSG, Barca & Madrid, he is guaranteed (as good as) triophies. Are we? Possible, but not like the others, and he has one last contract to get him there. The guy is not a kid. If he was 25/26, he would be signing, or signed already.

Well we didnt play the best RB in the league last season down the stretch and in the FA Cup semi instead constantly picking the clearly inferior player. Difference this season is that Sanchez is also a great player and the gulf between him and Toby isnt near as wide as it is between Walker and Trippier

He was outside the betting shop, poor guy probably tried to make profit of his £50k cheque for the week to make ends meet.

People need to cut him some slack. He's not a Spurs fan, he's a pro . If they don't give it their all when playing then they deserve all the stick they get otherwise I don't see any problem in him trying to get as much as he can. Even DL who loves THFC apparently gave himself £6M last year.
