No I seriously think Manchester united won't deal with us at all regarding martial. It's a fools hope thinking mourhino will sanction that

We need to sell Toby, they don't need to sell martial
You sound more confident than I think you can be. You may be right but we know that Mourinho has previously sold players that most people saw as having very good ability - to a rival no less.

Mata to Man Utd.
Lukaku to Everton.

It is plausible that Mou would do it again if he wagered Toby would mean more to them than Martial does to us.

We can’t say either way with much conviction can we ?

Guardian - via a Manchester based journalist - saying Levy (edit: might be) pushing for near VVD money for Toby.

I'd add to this that Mourinho does not seem to be in a position to cut off his nose to spite face. If Woodward tells him that he can get Toby but they need to accept an offer from us for Martial, Mourinho is in no position to reject it because he thinks Martial could succeed elsewhere.

A lot of United fans are fed up with him now and a lot of speculation suggests he will have one more roll of the dice and Woodward will give him the funds, which means he's in no position to start dictating where leaving players go - it's case of just getting them out the door.

Mourinho will also want his business done early.

It'll have to be significantly higher that the £25 million we are guaranteed if we keep him for the extra year. If we were only getting around £40 million then I'd rather keep hold of him. To be honest that is still my preference; get another year out of him and then let him go for a last big payday.

I'm with you on that, another year for Sanchez and Foyth to improve also and he might be more inclined to renegotiate if it's another year on lower wages. If we're gonna sell him then abroad needs to be 50 and to a league rival needs to blow us out the fucking water.

I've thought this all along, the main reasons for selling now are 1.demand more money 2.Some say in where he goes.

If he goes to United for 40...it barely feels worth it.

So it sounds like we’re all agreed…keep Toby for next season and let him go for £25 million in summer 2019. We need to feed back to Daniel to let him know what we’ve decided.:)

I guess I didn't realize Jose was possibly freezing out Bailly. I'd be all for that swap deal.

Yeah it’s true, what’s the deal with Bailly? He’s their best centre half isn’t he? They’ve actually got loads of centre backs. Bailly, Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Blind and Lindelof. Am I forgetting any else?

Freezing out Bailey, Martial, Shaw, falling out with Pogba and others, could be Maureen’s last season with Man United coming up.
Next season I think will be Maureen's last there as he never seems to stay anywhere for more than 3 years before he blows up. Let's hope he does it again and they feck up their season so we will be up there once again in with a shout of displacing City

Jose makes judgement calls so if in his judgement Toby is better for them than Martial and better for them than Martial would be for us he would not hesitate to do the deal and his record would suggest it may well be the right way to judge it, perhaps we should take note.

I mean how good could Martial really come to be? Can he become Thierry Henry lite? I think the upside is there (not saying I think he can become Henry) if we can get in a great replacement for Toby.. The key is can we keep a hold of Martial for 5 years to make it worth it?
