I so want to believe that he cares about playing for us but the cynic in me thinks his PR people are playing us.
He and Lucas both clearly have very active PR teams. Every matchday they post a new image or instagram story (mini video/graphic) for the game regardless of whether or not the player is involved.

Would be harsh to drop him for the United game based on last night. I would like to see Poch play all three CBs in that one

Some joker in the match thread said that he deserves to be the highest paid defender in the world and subsequently higher than Kane which is nonsense lol

He was good but let's not forget brighton did not really do much but i think he should start Saturday. Problem is if you drop sanchez who is the future that might knock his confidence

He makes defending look effortless. Cool, calm, unruffled. His partnership with Jan is the stuff of dreams really. Such a shame that we'll lose him at the end of the season.

Yeah, when a player wants out I guess there isn't a lot we can do.

He had a great game. Would like to see him, Jan and Sanchez as back 3 Saturday. The guy is 29 years old. He really wants to finish his career off with some major trophies. He is looking on this realistically, and you cannot blame him for seeing he has interest from major clubs both here and abroad, to want to explore those avenues.

I know for a fact he loves it here. And do not believe the media BS that it is purely down to money. If it was just that he would of signed already.

I won't be surprised to see us take out the option on the extension even if it means losing him for £25m in two seasons time. I've also seen some arguing pretty strongly that the release clause isn't as clear cut as has been made out, so who knows.

I'm now firmly in that camp. I was of the idea that we cash in this summer and get as much as we can for him, but watching him again last night, he is just so calm and assured.

Nothing against Big Dave at all, he has a fantastic future and has been excellent at such a young age in his first season. But Toby is just Toby. Lets see if we can keep him and exercise the 1 year option.

Probably gone too far down the line now though
