pretty sure that other leagues haven't changed their window dates, so they'll be able to sign after Aug 9.

Would rather live in Madrid or Barcelona, than Manchester.

If we won't meet his demands, it's the best option. I have no grudge with him wanting to move to Barca, let's be honest, we're not yet near that level.

He's been a good player for us and helped us move up a gear or two. He's at his peak and probably sees this as his last big contract, it would be strange to turn down Barca to stay here on less cash.

Of course it's hard to take, but it is what it is. Let's also remember his agents supposedly went back on an agreement with us, that's sure to have left a sour taste on our end. Having said that he hasn't caused trouble and has been professional, unlike Rose say.

Can't blame Levy on this one I feel. Get De Ligt in and move on. Sanchez & Verts alongside him looks tasty.

Of course even if Toby goes to Barca, we'll still be accused of being a selling club. Unlike Pool when they sold them Coutinho. If TA goes there, I can live with that and good money. Better than another PL club.

Tbf I'm still baffled that anyone thought Coutinho was worth that much, let alone Barca. Liverpool have barely even noticed his absence.

I don’t think we need to wait for the truth. We offered him a very good package but he didn’t want to sign. He didn’t want to stay. That’s fair enough. I understand why a defender of his quality who can move to Barca would want to leave, especially at his age. I think he’s handled it pretty well, all told.

I predict a huge disadvantage for English clubs that foreign clubs are still able to buy players after 9th of August. If we're to buy players before 9th of August and need fundings, you know that foreign clubs are gonna want to hold back as long as they can before we are forced to splash the cash or sell before being able to spend

I don really see us getting any change from replacing Toby and Rose with Ligt and Sess. Rose won’t command the fee that he should and I reckon Toby won’t go for what we, as Spurs fans, think we should unless we sell to a rival. De Ligt will probably cost more than Sanchez and we have already heard talk of 40/50 wanted by Fulham for Sess. I’m all for signing those two as replacements but there is no doubt we will be again weakening our defence a second season in a row and this time for likely 0 profit. But that’s not me moaning just stating a fact. I just hope we can bring in some established players further up the pitch.

45-50 million, I imagine. Would certainly help if Belgium have a great World Cup.
