Martial not even in Frances squad!

Boy has potential but needs work, Toby is world class NOW.

United wouldnt be strengthening us straight away but we would be strengthening them for next season.

World class centre backs are hard to come by, look at Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool and United.

Ahhh I've missed people using the argument that a player not being in an international squad has some sort of meaning.

How on earth can anyone think Martial wouldn't strengthen us?

Because he has been a bit part player since joining United, had some amazing games yeah. I would like him but he is far from a finished player or anywhere near world class. Maybe he hasn’t had the right manager or run of games but for me I don’t see how he is worthy of sacrificing one of the best CBs the club has had in the premier league era.

I would be all for getting Martial without swapping for any of our players, why cant we be a club who takes players from a rival.

But hey Martial is amazing on Fifa and Football Manager!

We aren’t sacrificing Toby, he’s going whatever and he’ll go to who ever offers the most which most likely will be Man U anyway.

Martial is a top quality forward and we should be all over him.

He would certainly strengthen us from a depth perspective but I'm still not convinced he walks in and starts over Son.

Toby is leaving whether we like it or not. We might as well try and get a top player as part of it.

Fully disagree with selling to rivals, unless it simply cant be avoided. To say it doesn't matter, as I keep reading, is ridiculous. Bayern have lived off it for years, Fergie and Jose openly admit to stealing other prem players as a way of both strengthening and weakening the opponent.

Ultimately, what wins the league is partly how good you are and partly how good you are comparatively. Man Utd have a great points total but no one cares, because its second place. Of course, if he must go and no one else is interested, so be it, but id much rather not.

Bit harsh on Martial. The reason we can't just take players from our rivals is because City, United, Liverpool and Chelsea have more recourses than us.

Its those long crossfield precision passes we're gonna miss :(

You say that, but Toby was out injured when CE scored that 11 second goal. I think it was Verts who played the long pass! I also seem to recall that Sanchez has a good, and accurate, long pass.

Sorry if this has been asked, but do we know how Tobys contract extension-clause is worded? We know it is the last fortnite of the transfer window, but now the PL window doesn't match the other European windows. So, which window?

I don't think we saw Sanchez complete one of these all season.
