Shots faced last season suggests it's more than just their keeper:

1. Burnley – 147
2. Leicester – 127
3. Swansea – 121
4. Brighton – 105
5. Bournemouth – 100
6. Crystal Palace – 99
8= West Brom – 97
8= Stoke – 97
9. Watford – 92
10. Everton – 90
11. West Ham – 89
12. Southampton – 88
13. Chelsea – 84
15= Newcastle – 80
15= Huddersfield – 80
16. Arsenal – 71
17. Man Utd – 62
18. Tottenham – 60
19. Liverpool – 59
20. Man City – 45
Judging by this, Nick Pope is the best keeper in the Prem.

It might be a more accurate rating of a keeper to rank them by number of shots on goal faced divided by number of goals conceded

Part of the job of the keeper is to help organise the defence so they don't get shots on goal.

ManU's defense would look a lot different if they didn't play a reserved/defensive style of football or had De Gea, but they do so its all irrelevant. I do think Toby would make them look a lot better unfortunately and possibly allow them to open up the team a bit. He and Bailly would be quite a duo.

Mourinho could probably have Prime Maldini and Beckenbauer at the back and still refuse to give players attacking freedom...

(edit: cheers @Insomnia )

Toby just tweeted about Lukaku being the greatest of all time. Not overly bothered about the slight disrespect to Harry but it’s a bit of a coincidence that they could well be teammates next season....

But I’m sure it’s just an excited tweet from someone who’s just progressed into the next round.

It's tongue in cheek, Toby obviously doesn't think Lukaku is the greatest of all time.

If he had said that Lukaku is the best striker in the world, that could be viewed as a slight on Kane.

This is how arguments should be countered; with solid, intelligent and justified responses. Good work.

Pat Jennings was a better keeper than DeGea but he still let in goals because his defence weren’t doing their job properly. Man United have such a good goals against record because all the team were contributing to defending their goal. Not just the keeper.

that reminds me when we 1st signed Clemance, heard people saying what a great signing, and I would say 1, problem we didn't sign the Liverpool defence to go with it

I think Toby's tweet is more likely a swipe at Ronaldo's ridiculous goat gesture after he scored, with Lukaku now equally him in the race for the golden boot.

Clearly a tongue in cheek, overexcited tweet. He did the same thing for Kane as well a while back

Just an overexcited tweet to recognize Lukaku’s excellent form, while refering to Ronaldo. Fully expect either Jan or Toby to heap praise on Harry in the buildup to Thursday’s game vs England.

If Martial goes to Juventus, where would this leave us with Toby to United? Will be buckle and sell him there anyway even though they refused to sell us Martial?

Sincerely hope not. I would far prefer to keep Toby and I trust he would be professional enough to give his all. I actually believe Toby has been an excellent professional. If his decision has always been not to sign a new contract, for whatever reason, he has certainly not mouthed of like some have in the past. Loads of respect for the lad.
