Agreed, but from itk it would appear a lot of movement from both is required. Want him to stay, but I reckon once United firm up their interest I reckon he’ll be gone...

That was itk from ages ago though in the main. Who’s to say things haven’t changed?

You could say that.... or you could be accurate and say Toby and his agent stopped it.

All we've heard is one side of the story.... So I'm not certain it's the gospel. There are 3 sides to a story.. The clubs version.... Toby's version and in between that is the truth.

This ain’t itk probably an opinion I know someone who works at spurs and he reckons Poch thinks Toby can’t play in a back 4 and only works in a 5
Don’t shoot the messenger just what i heard

Don’t mean to pick at you personally here, but I can’t stand that ‘3 sides to every story’ line. Sounds like my ex girlfriend, who just used it to make herself sound better.

The way I see it, is there are only two sides to every story. Right, and wrong. The truth should be the only one accepted. You may only ever hear one side, from two different points of view, but they are both still wrong or right. Equally, you may never hear the wrong or right side. It’s still about the truth.

Rant over hahaha

That would be interesting as we were still an exceptional defense when we used a 4. It even turned into a 3 most of the time anyways as Dier would start the game at DM but slide back in between Toby & Jan quite often throughout the game. Dier's versatility really helps us be fluid in formation throughout a game and I don't think enough people realize that.

Sounds strange as we had one of the league's best defenses with Toby in a 4.

Yeah you could say that. It's just that we've heard one side to this story. There's another side to it too. I feel the PR machine is in full swing and we could/will lose a damn good defender just because a player wants to be paid his worth.

For me this is purely about cashing in. Nothing more to it i feel. Now on that Ex of yours....im happy to milk that 3 sides to it story. Dm me her digits

Poch told Toby not to sign a contract extension?

Lets be careful where we assign blame...

Okay if you believe that good on you. Im taking an alternative view. The one that says we have a brilliant defender who we if it's to be believed letting go because he "shifted" the goal posts to use a term. As I've said to another poster we've only heard one end of this story. There's Toby's version too.

See there's the an example of the PR machine at play. However ive heard Poch say in interviews we play multiple formations during a game. We've had our best defensive pairing and the goal stats to prove it too.

Ok - what do you think Toby's version of the story is?

If you are blaming Poch, I assume you know a different side to the story, and not just "I don't know, but it must be Poch's fault."

Im just not falling for the BS line that many have come to believe thats all. He's a brilliant defender who improves us dramatically. He's in his final years as a player and wants to be paid he's worth. What that is im not sure but we only hear ONE side and take it as gospel. I dont thats all.

Wants to be paid *what he thinks is* his worth. From what we've heard we offered Toby a new deal, a good deal. Toby asked for more. We said no.

Toby and his team went out looking to see if someone else would pay that... no-one would.

I was very focused on this tournament. I wanted to prove something again. Show that the period before the tournament in which I did not play - for whatever reason - that it was unjustified

Him being dropped was entirely justified if him or his team were being unreasonable. It obviously wasn't based on his ability or form.

It was based on fitness and form also though - some of the games he played when he came back from injury were terrible - he was bang out of form and didn't deserve to play.

I don't remember now, I've been drunk since then. Regardless, if Poch wants him out as we've been told then it's curtains.
