suddenly i wonder how janssen would be slammed if he misses the chances dele and eriksen missed last night...
I think you can, somewhat, let it go considering the fact Eriksen and Dele have scored like 35 between them and assisted 20+ between them. If Janssen missed those chances yesterday but had 20+ goals behind his name, it would be different.

i get your point but i don't think it is good to see janssen being cursed as if he is a serial killer when he misses a chance

It is all about perception, he got slaughtered by pundits for his Watford miss but in reality it was a difficult one to get on the end of, but because of his struggles it's easier to make out it was due to his own inadequacy than it would be for Kane, Alli etc. Where it would've been chalked up more to circumstances.

He should have scored more this year, but is worth persisting with imo.

One of my mate's missus received a private message from Mr Janssen this week. I give it until Sunday evening before she fucks him

He's sent a screenshot and it's definitely Janssen's verified account.

So you are saying there is a chance he will score tonight?

I thought he looked a little sharper against Leicester last night, although they were tired and weak at the back when he came on. Maybe he's trimmed down slightly with Poch training?

Sounds like he's got his beach body on to me :).

I thought he looked good when he came on, but it's hard to judge as we were already well on top and they were missing their two first choice centre backs. I definitely think he'll be better next season though.

My dad is proper take no shit and not a Janssen fan at all, but even he commented last night that Janssen to his credit had lost weight and looked much fitter.... So it must be true

Watching Morocco v Holland, Janssen just scored and been Holland's best player. My Dutch in laws also raving about how good he is.

Guess that tells you a lot about the state of Dutch football right now and how good a position Tottenham Hotspur are in if Janssen is so highly thought of.

He's had a tough first season but I still think he can come good. It's a thankless task though being back up to Kane, then he's got a makeshift striker in Son that has scored 20 goals. He isnt going to score a ton of goals when he hardly gets any game time.

He's definitely a good footballer, and a grafter. But he didn't have a strong enough mentality last year, as soon as drought started to get long you could see the effect it had on him, and he started snatching at chances and shooting when he should have passed.

Similar comments to those being made this season about Janssen were being made last season about Son. I think he is well worth persisting with. If he does come good, and I think he will, he is a different type of striker to Harry and would be a great option off the bench.

It would be great if we could add a "2 up top" formation to our repertoire

He did have a LOT of time & space for that goal! I do like Janssen though and think he's shown enough to warrant sticking with him for at least another season.
