Requesting a player they think will improve them is one thing, us sending them a player we wish for them to improve, as part of a deal, is another. Edwards hasn't cut it in the Championship, which is similar in quality to the Eredivisie.

I think you're missing the point - if they have previously shown an interest (more than once) in taking him on loan, why on earth would you say that they would "never have an interest" in taking him on loan.

That's a paradox, regardless of what assumption you load it with.

Unless the loan with a permanent offer at the end if he does well.

Yes of course - this is one of the things that TheAmerican appears to have not considered in the assumptions.
Not quite, I'm arguing against the idea that they would take him for our benefit only (a loan). Anything with a potential for a purchase isn't the same as to what I was discrediting, as he would essentially be their player if they wanted. It's a common suggestion among supporters that we can/should loan our youth prospects to other clubs as incentives on top of a deal. It typically just doesn't work that way when dealing with other clubs in top leagues (though there are exceptions, like N'jie and N'koudou).

That's fair enough - I just think that a loan with option to buy would be seen as the safest option for Ajax, based on the attitude issues, so I can see why it would be appealing. Same with Njie at Marseille

Fenerbahce SK could announce the signing of Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen at any moment now. (@Fanatikcomtr)

Didn't think Vinny had enough hair for a perm but if that is all it is going to cost Fenerbache then that seems a good deal.

In a few years it'll become the 2nd best

Had something about State fans/knowledge of bad hair (mullets, perms etc) but then realize I don't know if you're State...or a proper Tarheel.

VJ still has his Twitter set to "Fenerbache player".

Is it harsh that I think of him as a bit of a twat? He was poor for us, but I don't think he shows any remorse for being crap.

Soldado is such a stark contrast
