Fuck me ! Doris the tea lady better polish her cloggs no Kane! Son! Moura? Better hope he’s fit or llorente boat trip back to Bilbao my be off !
Agreed. No chance Fernando is leaving these shores this window unless we bring in some real quality that can hit the ground running....but for that to happen we would actually need to buy someone!

Yeah, it totally looks like Pochetino has a personal issue with Janssen that goes beyond footballing reasons. I will give Poch the benefit of the doubt and assume Vince Janssen has done something that simply was despicable and unforgivable.

Maybe he just doesn't work hard enough at training or show that he wants it bad enough ? It's no secret that Poch likes to train the boys hard, particularly in the pre-season ?

Is poch cutting off his nose to spite his face here?

We are in strife if Kane is out for any length of time.

Hope Janssen is sold this window, its a ridiculous saga that keeps dragging on.

No he's just not good , I don't know why that doesn't compute for people.
Dele, lamela, llorente even Lucas would be a million times more dangerous than Jansen as a cf in the league.

He can hold the ball up...but then so can everyone of our cbs, dier and dembele but were not gonna play them up front

We could potentially see Llorente sold, Kane injured for a couple of months and Sonny gone. Interesting times we are facing

If that was the case, he wouldn't be starting games at the PL2, taking the squad place of some kid willing to work hard enough or who wants it more than him.

I think a personal issue is the most obvious answer.

Seem to remember reading somewhere there were a few issues with his attitude and application in training. Think it's very difficult to come back if Poch feels a player's attitude and application is not where it should be during training.

Get the feeling if players are struggling for form/not playing well, Poch will give them chances as long as they are putting in 100% in training. An example is Sissoko. Even though he's struggled for a long time and only recently showing us there is a player there, interesting to see Poch mention a few weeks ago about Sissoko's professionalism. If he get's wind that a player isn't putting in 100%, think that players with us are numbered.

I would honestly play midfielders out of position or promote a youngster rather than play Janssen. Simply because he's not good enough and I don't think the team trust him to score the goals.

He says he is fitter than ever. With all the injuries, give him a crack. Bin him off in the summer if he sucks or keep / make a tidy profit if he doesn't. Just a depreciating asset atm.

It will literally come down to not enough application and/or not enough talent
Is a human factor I guess. Poch is seldom so heartless. If you work hard enough like Sissoko, there is no reason for Poch to ignore. Janssen must have done something that their relationship is beyond repair. Furthermore, if what was said was true that he was a Poch signing, the outburst between them can't be that trivial.

Really a shame, rated Janssen if he has more time..

Don't disagree with any of this as speculation as such. But for me, just to dress it down rather than up, could it not be that VJ simply was taken out of the plans for this season because a) he was deemed surplus to requirements/maybe hadn't shown enough and b) he was looking likely to be going out the door in some capacity?

Cue injury and his move doesn't happen and he's stuck on our books but isn't part of the plans, hence the current situation.

Him being fit again (only recently) may or may not change things. If he's fitter than ever and shows enough to MP that he wants to be involved maybe we can integrate him into the first team set up again (once registration is open again?). If the situation is the same in that he's not good enough or not needed, we'll just look to move him out again, i don't think it's much more complex than that.

On what basis did you rate Jansen ? he has shown absolutely nothing to suggest he would be a success in the PL. he is not an instinctive striker but IMO a manufactured one whose limitations were exposed by the quality of the PL defences.

Pity always like Vincent ...not sure what he did....given time I believe he could be like Sissoko but he appears to have really pissed Poch off

First player that Poch has flat out indicated is no longer wanted...even GKN did not get this treatment

I thought he was ok as a backup and needed some confidence, he scored goals in the Dutch league and has score lots at international level. In my view he could score goals in the premier league, I don't like the way Poch disregards some players at times.
