Surely the last nail in Janssen's coffin was when Poch threw Sanshez in at 1-1 With 2 minutes to og rather than put Janssen on. When you rather put on a CB than a pure number 9 in that scenario you'd have to wonder what's the point of having Janssen around at all.

Sanchez was already stripped and ready to come on before the goal went in.

Looks like Llorentes in, and some are reporting Janssen going the other way on loan.Great transfer business if it does go ahead, we get a decent experienced striker, Vincent gets game time before coming back full of goals and a more confident player fully adapted to the Premier League.

Hopefully he might move on today for the club and players sake
But then again we are one injury away from being back to one striker. If he doesn't mind getting a lot less pitch time and fighting Llorente for cup games etc then I am happy to have the cover. Then in January we can revisit.

Keep him.

Llorente is not an alternative to Kane if Kane gets injured. Llorente has zero mobility, which is not not a criticism per se, just an acknowledgement that his abilities lie elsewhere. I know Janssen isn't particularly dynamic either, but he'll get into more Kane-like positions and still be nippier around the box than Llorente will. If Kane is out, we really need both Llorente and Janssen.

He's 4th in the line of strikers. Kane-Llorente-Son and then Janssen. How many strikers do you want?

Aye was clearly to protect the lead/give the fans a look. Went tits up before he could get on. Maybe thought it would take too long to get someone else ready, so threw him on and pushed Toby forward I think

I love Llorente and think he's a great signing, but I'm very happy to have Janssen still in the squad. I still think he'll come good. Maybe not for us, but eventually for someone.

We now have three very different strikers to utilise. At the very least it means we still have options if one of them gets injured.

I'd like to think he turned down Brighton to fight for his place. Worth pointing out that with Llorente here the pressure is off and he can just focus on doing his thing. I've certainly seen enough in him to be happy that he's an option.

I hate to be critical of our own player but Janssen does not look good enough for us.. Hope he can play a part this season but he is all huff and puff really..

Left out of Champion league squad. Had a rough 2 games with holland as was slated on twitter by spurs and dutch fans. Poch clearly doesnt rate him so why we didnt try to get him to accept a loan deal is beyond me. Poch should have been clear that he should have gone to brighton as he would not get any game time with us.

He didn't want to go to Brighton, nothing to do with Poch. Decision was Janssen's who wanted to stay and fight for his place.

I'd like to know how much Poch actually watched of him before sanctioning the buy. I mean it's not Janssen's fault he's not good enough, he simply doesn't have enough tools. So it kinda of reflects bad on Poch if he watched him and agreed to sign him up.

Really think it is pathetic by the club to have Foyth in the CL squad ahead of him.
Pathetic-Really? You don't know what is going on behind the scenes. Whilst Poch wants 3 strikers (adaptable), which I believe is why when he spoke to Poch before final decision to go out on loan to Brighton he stayed. Reason? Our WF did not materialise for various reasons.

We have 2 strikers, and Son as the 'adaptable' for the CL. There is your reason. Foyth, I personally can understand.
