Definitely injured and hardly a shambles that he has only just had surgery for the reasons @nicdic said, Janssen even referred to them as the great medical team not just the medical team

I feel sorry for the bloke, he's out now for another few months recovering. Then it's highly doubtful any club will buy him in January having not played for so long.

What has he done to warrant chances when given opportunities?

How many more chances could Poch give the guy after what he's shown over the last 18 months?

His goal scoring records elsewhere are irrelevant because as past players from the Dutch league have proven they dont compare to the PL. I realize there have been players who have done well from that league, but they've been more miss than hit.

In regards to playing him with little time left in games, Poch did that prior to him leaving last season, he didnt do much.

In regards to bringing him on when were losing, again, as we saw he didnt score so were likely better off leaving our attacking players on the pitch as they're more likely to create chances an/or score.

I would see your points ,however, Sissoko is pretty much the worse player on the pitch week in, week out. Most of his performances have been truly shocking for a professional footballer.

Yet Poch continually plays him. How many chances has Janssen had by comparison?

Would be great if he regains full fitness and becomes available as a squad player for us - I quite like him as a player. Have to assume he is finished here though.

It was such a weird season, he really did start off well. Thought he linked really effectively with Kane in that Everton game, showed some promise in hold up play and got into dangerous spots. Then the wheels just seemed to fall off.

Believe it or not but going by what Poch said about Sissoko last season it seems he likes him as a player. He mentioned how Sissoko is one of the few players in our team capable of going both forward and backwards so a two way player

I and of course many others don’t see his value but Poch clearly does

Going back to Janssen he clearly isn’t seen in the same light especially having brought in Llorente. Perhaps, VJ has a poor attitude and doesn’t do it in training?

Janssen is just not good enough for a top 4 side

Sissoko is a beast, extremely versatile and can do a very good job for any top squad. He won’t start many but when he does get game time he’ll come in and do a solid job

He did that last season and he’ll continue to do so this

Agree janssen is just plain awful in reality. And way out of his depth in the prem.

Amazed at all the love he gets meanwhile sissoko and aurier get a barrage of insults and cheap shots

Poor old Vinny!

Gets almost as much love as poor old Bobby got

Both absolutely fucking useless for us and have cost us an absolute fortune

Such a shame. Just think where we’d be if one had been a success. Might even have a trophy in the cabinet by now!

If bobby was bagging 15 a season when he joined we might not have seen the fruitation of Harry Kane. Silver lining and all that. ?

Why can't Poch use Llorente correctly he was a beast at Swansea. We never cross the ball to him total waste of a good player.

As we can only have 17 foreign players it’s Jansen or GKN to miss out. As Jansen has just had surgery it had to be him. Our buying has been poor. There are still 9 players regularly in the first team who were here when Poch arrived 4 years ago.

Sorry for the bump. Any news of VJ's recovery, if there is any rumour of sale, faint glimmer of another shot with us?
