With this, I've always known we've been spoilt by Harry Kane. But when you put it like this, i see it completely. The guy is unbelievable - i remember seeing a quote from the world cup that the England team was on edge constantly as they knew that Harry could just train and overtake literally anyone in the squad in terms of what they do.

The guy is incredible. Possibly the greatest talent we'll see at the club in our lifetime, so make the most of watching him.

Dragging it back to the Janssen chat, basically any striker coming in when Harry's out will look shite because Kane's that good

Except the goalkeeper, he's not too good there! :ROFLMAO:

I have always thought that we need to buy a completely different striker from Kane, preferably with blistering pace so is able to play alongside Kane as well as a cover option. So therefore can really stretch defences and then Kane can take deeper positions.

The problem with Janssen is that he is too similar to Kane in a way obviously no way as good.

We have that player Son! It’s the Son replacement we don’t have.

Thing is, I believe Son is the perfect replacement. But what do we do when he is moved up front? Maybe we shouldn’t be looking for back up for Kane but Son? Surely we could improve on Lamela/Lucas?

Time for Alanis Morrisette to write an updated verse to her 90's pop classic Ironic unlucky

An unloved striker, got fit again, he got his squad place back, breaks the next day...

Poor ol Vinny.
Next time he's fit will probably be after Harry has come back and bagged his first hattrick of the season... (Dortmund away)

Looked OK, I think him being in the box forced them to stand of Eriksen and did some decent work to hold the ball in the closing stages.

It’s nice to have another option.

I say give him a run out against west ham. Not sure he'd be that much worse than Fernando... Who wasn't brilliant tonight.

Nando seemed to spend most of his time waving his arms in frustration and moaning. We kept crossing for him, but he got on the end of nothing. I have to say Dunk and Duffy were absolutely brilliant last night. If Brighton do go down, we could do a lot worse if Toby goes.

Did anyone else notice when Poch was asked about VJ in the post match interview, he wasn't his usual self? Not the usual "fought for the team, berry happy for the player" bit at all? Felt more like a gun to his head, forced upon him kind of thing. I know we've realistically only got Janssen back in because of all the injuries, and I hope, but don't expect, him to make the matchday squads once our injured players start to return. Poch's body language suggested he didn't welcome the question. Nice reception from the crowd though when our number 9 finally came on.

The CBs job is easy when they have 8 other outfield players in their box helping out.
