Plea, Meyer and Luan are interesting options - not sure if we need them really. Think Gimenez and Goretzka (if we had space for them) would be great but looks like the likes of Juventus are all over them.

Herrera, Mata, Blind, Shaw and Fellaini. Didn’t realise United had that many players running out of their contracts.

And Young, not to mention Ibrahimovic.

The goons get grief for letting contracts run down, but Utd seem to be just as bad.

Luke Shaw was superb for Pochettino at Southampton and Man Utd don't want him.

Be a good replacement if Rose does move on

I'd also take Robben on a free and use him from the bench

I think we'd be better looking at players who will be going into the last year of their contracts, it's more our MO.

Ghoulam if Rose went maybe.

Also does anyone know how Plea has done since his return from injury?

To be fair it's different for the bigger clubs than us as new contracts are much more of a financial commitment. We could easily give someone like Sissoko a new contract just to be able to sell him for more money for instance. We did it with Tom Carroll I think.

For someone like United it's a lot of money to keep Young, Shaw, Herrera, Mata etc. on the payroll if you can't shift them.

True, in comparison to us.

It’s a bit different when you compare to the goons though, who also pay big money. If they are taken to task for letting contracts run down, I don’t see why Utd get a pass.

Luke Shaw was superb before his numerous injuries but has looked a shadow of his younger playing days.
Rose is the best left back in the prem. Would not swap.
