Mauricio Pochettino feels Tottenham have had an "amazing" season but acknowledges the need to do more to win silverware.

First thing to do, is believe the FA Cup/League Cup are not beneath you. Good starting point, and hope it filters through to the team.

Not entirely buying Poch on this one. I think it's only a good season if we finish top four. He's gone from talking about winning the PL and CL to going on about adapting to Wembley. but the fact is that we've shown we can play at Wembley so the dip in form isn't really about that. I don't want us to finish fifth and then listen to a load of excuses about Wembley.

Agreed, if we cannot get enough points in the last 2 matches and miss out on the top 4 then this season is definitely not a success, and I don't want to go through the summer hearing about the "Wembley Curse" either. However, if we don't put in a better performance than we have in the past 5 matches our top 4 aspirations are in serious trouble.

I wonder if Poch's comments over the last few weeks has ruined the trust some of our key players had in him!

Which comments in particular?

I haven't got the time or the inclination to trawl through weeks of media to pick them all out, you know what I'm talking about, as it's been mentioned on this site over the last few weeks, so please don't be so pedantic.

I'm genuinely asking as I don't know what quotes you're on about but nevermind...

I'm assuming it's when he talked about Spurs progressing next season with him or 'someone else'. Hopefully it was just him worrying about being sacked and not that he was thinking of leaving.

Crazy talk. I can't believe how high some fans' standards have become - surely a reflection of the progress we've made?
After pushing for the title two seasons running and having our first experiences at the higher level of the Champions' League in many years, we've moved into a temporary new home, competed with teams who have outspent us on transfer fees and salary - Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Despite these challenges, we got to the last 16 in the Champions' League topping the so-called 'Group of Death', the semi-finals of the FA Cup and thus far have outpointed two of our closest rivals in Chelsea and Arsenal with the ability in our hands to finish 3rd, ahead of Champions' League finalists, Liverpool who count top scorer Salah amongst their players.

I'd say it was a pretty amazing season, given that. I thought we'd finish 6th this year, at Wembley.

It's amazing in terms of league points gained, given we haven't played a home game this season.
I don't remember anyone saying at the start of the season it'd be 'amazing' if we finish 4th while playing at Wembley. Very impressive, yes.

Amazing would be Liverpool winning the CL.

Astonishing is Leicester winning the PL.

Call each thing by it's right name.

I said it would be amazing if we finished third (3rd).

I always thought Wembley would help us. And I think it did. The whole "38 away games" thing doesn't make sense to me when at half those away games we had 75000 Spurs fans there.

Next season will be harder - a truly unfamiliar ground with fewer fans in it.
