Mauricio Pochettino says he will discuss his future at Tottenham after the Champions League final, but admits this could be a moment to 'close a chapter'.

Each season is a chapter. He’d be a fool not to attempt a contract negotiation so I’m not in the least bit worried.

That logic makes no sense, only if you're not sure of yourself. It should be the beginning of a sustained period of success. He always said he wants to build an empire at Spurs, like Fergie did. You don't do that with one trophy. But, as has been mentioned, it's probably negotiation tactics.

I’m not too concerned. I don’t think he’ll go anywhere this summer.

There’s not really any recent obvious vacancies, either.

Season in the new stadium and see how we do. Then I think he’ll move on if it’s fruitless.

Even if you don't care for the furniture, you've still got to spend on the bricks and mortar. So he can't build without spending like the last two windows.

Think he’s saying that he was tasked with getting Spurs into Champions league on a regular basis for the next 4-5 years because of new stadium. That’s been accomplished so he probably wants to know whether there’s going to be genuine investment in players who are capable of taking Spurs up a few levels and make us not just title contenders but winners

Or... every journey has an end, and...

I...am...Ironman (snap - Bale, Modric, VDV all come back)

Poch is right. After theOpening of the Stadium, and CL Finals (win or loose), there is a risk we will sit on our Laurels. He is doing everything he can to set the context that now is not the time to ease back into next season, thinking we have everything we need. If we are to get the best players to join us - we need to start on it in the next few weeks rather than 11pm on Transfer Day.

Its not just the players - there has to be an infrastructure to support success at this level. Hence bringing together all the elements : how can we have less injuries? How do we ensure we get the best from the acadamy and the training facilities? What is the latest thinking on fitness and training? Diet? Motivation? Teamwork? Tactics? Opportunities for developing players in the first team? Poch doesn't want to spend the summer idling away - he wants the club on it. A plan. A sense of direction for all. I suspect for many at Tottenham the horizon has been filled with getting the new stadium completed. Thats done - we need a new project! A new vision.

Poch is not going to settle for the status quo - however good it is at the moment!

Levy may want a break, he must have had one hell, of a stressful year. However........

Until now Poch has just made hints at what he wants, with no apparent response from Levy. At last, now in a stronge position, he is cranking up the pressure on Levy. Dare Levy sack him for being so outspoken (apparently Levy was annoyed by the content of Poch's book last year)? Will he pony up the necessary funds to make an impact in the transfer market? There we have two 64 dollar questions.
