it's all talk. At some point all the best players want and deserve medals and honors.

Kane will be no different, he's making ll the correct noises now, but we have no guarantees long term.

From Teddy to Berbatov, Modric to Bale deep down we know how this ends

no we don't.

Gary Mabbutt was just telling the story of how King Kenny wanted him the same summer he bought Barnes and Beardo. Pool were the best draw in England at the time (few players went abroad then). He said he'd rather play for Spurs. Turned down more money and guaranteed more trophies. Kenny still puts it down as the one who got away.

Are you really putting Teddy in the same bracket as the other two? Teddy stayed with us until he was 30 or 31, didn't kick up a fuss and we basically sold him because the guy deserved a shot at United who were the biggest club in the country by a long way.

Fair point about Teddy mate. i'm not calling them all mercenaries and trouble makers, it's just that at some point the very best players often leave for medals, honors and sometimes the money that goes with the big move.

To deny that wouldn't be wise, lest you get disappointed later on.

I know what you mean, we've been here before. However, this team is a different beast from anything we've seen since the 60's.

Calling it bullshit simply because you dont want to be disappointed at some stage in the future seems a rather illogical reason for doubting Kane. He has said from day 1 he is Spurs through and through.

I don't doubt he means what he says for now.

Kane is as straight as they comes and he is Spurs through and through.

Do i believe he will ponder leaving at some stage in the future if we win nothing....... well yes, and i wouldn't begrudge him either.

Not sure what's illogical with this reasoning.

I think if Kane does go, it'll be near the end of his career. He might - like Hoddle - want to experience playing abroad. I do believe we will get the best years of his career though.

I think he'd prefer to stay but he he also prefers champions league football and a team challenging for and yes, sooner or later winning, trophies. This squad is good enough so long as we keep it together.

Darren Anderton, another who turned down a big move.

So how does what Poch said conflict with that?
