Please say this doesn't happen. Story here.
They cant bite a manager until FIFA lets go of them which wont happen until there js MASSIVE change within their FA. New elections are being held next year. If nothing screwy happens with them this time, maybe they'll be allowed to operate normally again. They'll be able to hire a new manager sometime next year at the earliest I believe. Nothing to worry about right now

Real Madrid is the worry, surely.

Poch can retire to the peaceful grasslands of country management in 2035 or so.

If they were to come calling, surely it's not something you could turn down, if you're a proud citizen of a country. Unless it's the poisoned chalice of England.

Hmmm, I hope you are right. They can bite who they like but not Poch.

On one hand it's annoying that that there is another rumour to unsettle our pre-season. But on the other hand it's a sign that the club is moving in the right direction when others covet your staff and players.

Firstly I don't think Poch would be interested at this time, he is very much in the club phase of his career. 2nd i doubt the Argie FA have the money to pay his release fee.

Likelihood is that Biesla goes back to the job.

Why? They've already got a head coach, one who won the Champion's League last season no less.

Conversely he's not actually lived in Argentina for half his life now (22 years).

Whilst this is true, we've been saying it for years, as we've watched the likes of Berbatov, Modric and Bale walk out of the club. Even Redknapp's time fell apart in part due to the England job distraction. Each time this has set us back in our progress and cost us time and patience to claw our way back up.

Having other clubs/countries trying to poach your staff is a problem of being successful, and until we're a top-bracket club alongside the likes of Real and Barca (i.e. never), it's a problem we're going to have to keep dealing with every year unfortunately.

As I said in the poch thread, I cant see how any Argentinean Manager could turn down the national team manager.

This is the opportunity to be considered a national legend in Argentina.

Also every manager who has managed Messi so far has been terrible

This is the last opportunity to be the last manager who manages Messi in a world cup as well as the likes of Aguerro, Higuain and Di Maria during their prime

Whether its Simeone or Poch, this would arguably be the biggest job of their career. This isn't like the england job where the whole country hates the national team. This is arguably their most talented group of players ever managed very poorly by the likes of Sabella and Maradona

I thought Messi retired from International Duty? Or was that just a tantrum he threw after missing a penalty in a final and he's made a u-turn....?

The national newspaper claims that he has reversed his decision to retire
