Great interview with Poch at the desk. Loved his comments on the squad, transfers and the academy.

He was talking about edwards just before and got a bit muddled. Understandable, impressed he knew some of our youth players tbh.

Kyle Walker is clearly pimping himself around to provide us with stars of the future...

That Dan Thomas is an insipid prick, who show after show just sets out to be confrontational on any subject about any club. He really is a fucking idiot of the very worst kind.

As for Hugo and Poch i have been to FL literally dozens of times and to hold a show out in the open, in the middle of the day in July is plain fucking stupid. Humidity yesterday was at an incredible 84% or almost twice the highest expected in the UK during any summer thunderstorm, you just cannot escape the torrid, tropical heat.

The players were feeling it and I would be very surprised indeed to see anything other than a half paced game.

Shaka hislop - thick as pig shit. Feel sorry for the American audience that they have to put up with him. Mind you we have to put up with Jamie redknapp!

It does not sound like the players are complaining about our transfer business:

Vertonghen:
Centre-half Vertonghen insists Spurs can win the league next term, despite having to play all their home matches at Wembley, but he said their existing players must step up a level.

"The way our rivals are strengthening this season, we need to be aware of that and we need to level up as well," Vertonghen told ESPN FC.

"I'm not saying with new players, but we need to take our levels up and I think we can. I'm the oldest outfield player in the team and I feel very fit. The younger guys can improve even more. It can definitely be our year and we want it to be our year.

"Luckily we almost kept everyone from this year. Obviously the window is not closed yet but if we can keep these guys, we can do the same thing again. It'll be a bit harder because we play at Wembley! [The pitch] is a lot bigger but the training pitches have already been adapted.

But then the other guy sitting there saying we finished 2nd twice. Too many errors from "experts" for my liking.

Hislop is most certainly not thick, the bloke has a degree in mechanical engineering and is an ex NASA intern.
I had to look that up...seems he "spent a year at the Nasa headquarters in Washington working on manufacturing robots for use in space", and attended a lot of meetings though most of it "went over my head".

note that 'most' of it went over his head.

I'd wager that all of it would go over yours and my heads.

Also, regardless of that Nasa part, a degree in mechanical engineering successfully achieved by fools is not.

I know a lot of clever people, the ones that have achievements coming out of their arses, yet the simple tasks they struggle with, even simple common sense. Clever in ways yes, still thick as fuck though.
