When it comes to spurs buying players, I don't care about the opinions of fans, not even our fans. So many people are obsessed with buying players. We are in such a unique position for spurs, we have an unbelievable starting XI and some very promising young players. Can you imagine if we signed every striker we were linked with....Kane would never have happened. Can you imagine if signed every midfielder we were linked with? Alli could have been another Bostock.

We have Poch. He knows talent. He nurtures talent. 3 years ago fans would have got rid of walker (including me) cos he was shit but very fast. This season we sold him £45m. Let's have faith in our Poch and his ability to make our young players world beaters cos the players that can improve our starting XI today are too expensive (over £50m each easy) so we need more homegrown players with passion.

I am quite relaxed about the whole situation and am happy that, apart from Walker, Spurs kept all their players (even though several could have left and at doubled their salaries).
The likes of CCV, KWP, Onomah, N'koudou, Winks need games to fulfil their potential - or at least given a chance to prove whether they have what it "takes" or not.
The one player I really wanted was Ryan Sessegnon, But by staying put at Fulham it showed that he's focused on improving as a player rather than "improving" his bank account (in the long run it may be a good investment anyway).

There's still a month to go.

I was about to write it was laughable that MP thinks a move to the north was the main reason Walker left. It is hardly a dream location for him as a Yorkshireman.
But Walker may well have an idea that ManC would entertain nicely letting him go on a free in a few years, and he could return to Sheffield Utd.

It is a pretty easy decision when a player is doubling their money, but when it comes to executing the final part the plan, I suspect he'll end up at Everton, Stoke or even Crystal palace rather than taking a tenth of the salary at Sheffield.
It would take an extraordinary sacrifice on his part to live his dream of returning home.

I don't think MP is saying Walker is obsessed with a return to Sheffield.
He's saying he's a northern lad who's been mostly 'down south' for 9 years and logistically, probably culturally, Mancs is nearer where Kyle wants to be at 28 yrs than London / South East.
Might or might not be the main reason Kyle left but the War of the Roses is probably not at the forefront of Kyle's mind.

You mean like making do with the multi millions he's been paid and trousering 10k a week or something pathetic like that to play for your boyhood club? I can't begin to imagine how difficult that would be.
