Now posted in the right thread. Sorry @Archibald&Crooks

£8.5m per year according to the Telegraph and the Standard. Not bad for a man with no agent!

Very promising sign for him to be paid that much if true. Puts him 3rd behind Pep and Jose (unless you believe the Pellegrini £10m rumours). Big commitment by Levy.

Pellegrini is on £5.5m, not sure where the £10m came from.

"Daniel and I have spoken at length about our aspirations for this football club. We both share the same philosophies to achieve long-term, sustainable success.
"This is a special club - we always strive to be creative in the way we work both on and off the pitch and will continue to stick to our principles in order to achieve the success this Club deserves."

Slightly ominous ending from the OS.

Poch: I want a better contract and transfer funds.
Daniel: We don't just have hundreds of millions. How about you keep doing what you're doing but we pay you truckloads to do it while we pay off debts. We can afford to pay you loads, but not loads of players on heavy wages too.
Poch: Can I be the highest paid manager in the league?
Daniel: Fine

-handshake-

or it could be a smokescreen to keep prices low and we are about to spend 1.5bn on a dream team COYS!!!!

Did you really expect anything different?

The only thing Poch might be able to get out of Levy is to move a bit quicker in the market. I don’t think the purse strings will be completely lifted until the we’ve paid off a bit more of the stadium and got naming rights deals.

Even then it will probably take new ownership for us to change our spending, although I’m confident we’ll al least pay out current players a bit more as we really don’t have a choice. I think even Lewis and Levy realise that.

I hope people on twitter bombard that nob Ashton with loads of grief over this. He was desperate for him to leave us the snide prick.
