Oh my fucking God. Not even 24 hours have passed & the press have already started plotting his escape. I bet you can't guess which particular Spanish based news outlet has started the ball rolling :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Mauricio Pochettino’s new contract release clause should concern Tottenham fans

However, fans will come back down to earth with a bump when they read MARCA‘s reports which claim that the contract includes an escape clause which would allow Pochettino to depart the club if Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain come calling.

The report goes on to state that the former Espanyol and Southampton boss is desperate to one day manage the Champions League finalists, whilst his history as a player at PSG would certainly make a move there appealing.

Is this the usual March BS or is there truth in it?

Not sure if it's a serious question, or a little bit of mockery for me because I posted it

However, it's unquestionably bullshit & was only posted because Real Madrid mouthpiece, Marca, didn't even last 24 hours before coming out with something about taking our manager from us. The bunch of stains!

Top 4 was so so crucial this season. The narrative here may have been very different had we not achieved it. But we did comfortably in the end. If we get the signings and can navigate the early season issues of the stadium we will be right in the mix again. Exciting times.

The most sad but true post. Almost 90% of the Spurs stories on their site not written by him are such clickbait trash.

Start a classy paper or football magazine and pay top pounds for him to write for us Spurs fans.:)

Looks like I'm not the only one whose first thought was "oh fucking hell" when reading the news about Zidane stepping down.

New contract means nothing here. Madrid have more than enough money to tap him up and pay us off if Poch and Madrid want it.
It would be a ridiculous sum of money. Like £50m or something. Why would they do that if they could get someone like Wenger or even Guti (their youth coach) for free. They have such a talented squad that it wouldn't be worth paying such an obscene amount of money for a manager.

Man talk about pessimistic. You lot are a special breed. Yeah Madrid have money. They also need 4-5 players to supplement their aging lineup which won't come cheap. Not to mention they are not going to want to get into a long drawn out negotiation with Levy who would ask an insane amount of money to prize Poch away and squeeze them for every penny.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Would have done if not for the fact that Poch would have known that ZZ might be leaving and still signed a massive new contract.

Yes but I’m assuming that Poch signing his contract a couple of days before the CL final was not entirely coincidental. If Madrid had lost then Levy was assuming that they might approach him and the new contract was a way of sending them a message. Similar to how he signed his last contract immediately after he was spotted in a restaurant with Ferguson. To send United a message.

Unless of course you are totally cynical and assume that Levy made sure Poch signed a new contract to drive up any compensation in the event of Real knocking .
