2 windows without any signings is a PL record that will never be beaten. Proud

Love it. Lull is all into a false sense of security and the splurge £500m on two players on Jan 1st. I for one am looking forward to it and will be glued to the spirts news to watch the unveiling.

"But sure we are going to do some movement."

That was Poch back in July. We all know what happened. He's simply keeping a lid on things as he knows even if we try we could still end up empty handed.

Not a massive surprise. With Skipp and Winks coming to the fore and KWP making an impact, this may be our current ideal solution to the “Home Grown” player issue.

Especially with Davies & Dier being unfairly categorised.

This is another season of “transition” where we balance the books vs. the stadium.

I thought everyone was aware that we have a bloated squad and need to sell a few first. Not really news.

Totally agree. We need to move on these at very least. Vorm, N’Koudou, Llorente and Janssen.
Big decisions need making on Dembele and Wanyama.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Even if Poch was planning a January raid, he would come out with the same - it's always about managing expectations.

It's also about negotiating. You tell the world "yeah we're gonna splurge" and prices go up, especially as the deadline nears. These media questions and headlines are all a waste of time. Would you tell some journalist what cards you're holding in a game of poker? Journos ask because they can spin a reply whatever way; "Spurs set to splash out in January" versus "Spurs won't spend again in January". Poch knows this so he just plays the game.
