Though he doesn't go into specifics - I'd hedge a bet that he'd like to go back in time and revisit the Crystal Palace FACup game - a trophy that is there to be won this season - as it was last season when we lost to Leicester.
The Europa League is just too tough, too energy sapping and too negative a burden on our Premier League aspirations, no matter the carrot of Champions League that UEFA throw at it.
I think the time for two-legged games at every stage - has to go - the same could be said for FA Cup replays. The football calendar schedule needs trimming in many ways.

Agree with what you're saying, but the idea behind 2 leg ties in Europe is to balance out the home advantage of the team not having to travel across the continent.

In the old UEFA footballing world it made sense - because Europe was accessible and smaller - some of these trips days are ridiculous. There's no easy solution. But having to play 21 games to win a cup (Europa League) - is just daft. Maybe do it zonally? I have no idea - but it's become a giant waste of time (though of course it generates money).
You could win the FA Cup in 6 games!! And we should have been focusing on that with our best X1 and minor alterations.
I think it's been a big managerial mistake.

Being down 0-3, I wouldn't want us to chase after a what is likely a lost cause. The last thing we want is to have a Kane or a Alderweireld sustain an injury a la Vincent Company. That would really blow our chances (already slim) of winning the PL, and even a top 3 spot.

Well, these players in the P.L. are well paid; the money has to come from somewhere I suppose....but I do agree that it is becoming a little too much.
