We were REALLY BAD today but some good things happened this weekend:::: Chelsea and Man City both dropped 2 points, Liverpool, Everton and ManU all lost as well. Shame lucky Arsenal came up a terribly sick Villa. COYS

I don't get it I really don't watching this team this is the team that should be playing in Europa league games signed two new defends and them two don't even play Davies and fazio. Danny rose is shocking he really is need to learn how to defend and kaboul and vald wow where to start with them don't speak don't read a game surely Dawson was better then them and caulker.
Thought Rose was one of our better players today, along with Capoue. Davis has been worse when given the chance tbh.

So you are telling me rose is better then Davies don't know what game you are watching rose is a back up left back not good enough for Tottenham who is trying to fight for top 4. Don't know why we don't play Lennon aswel he is not the best passes of the ball but he has been doing it for Tottenham for years
They're both below top 6 quality.

Watching the game and the problem seems to stem from our defence. Lloris to CB - CB passes FB - FB back to CB - CB back to Loris or hoofs it. How the heck is the attacking third meant to know what's happening? CBs and FBs need to be better on the ball.

Back to back home defeats without scoring a goal (seems familiar?).

We didn't have a clue playing this system under AVB and we don't under Poch. No plan "B" and our first ever loss at home to WBA in the PL era.

Terrible, lifeless performance that offered nothing. All very well beating a cannon fodder of a side called QPR but we have struggled with every other game we have played.

4-2-3-1 is o.k. if you have the players for that system, we simply do not irrespective of who is coaching them.

I shudder to think what is going to happen next weekend, i really do.

Not blamin our attackers because we have problems all over de field, but we need to freshen things up in de attacking third, its de one area poch hasn't changed.
Lennon (right) and townsend (left) for chadli & lamela, play as traditional wingers, not this inverted sh*t, soldado for ade, if only we still had holtby to replace eriksen.
Verts and fazio at centre back.
Problem seems to be that poch doesn't know his best 11 yet

After that performance he can cross Chirches, and Dier (as a right back) off his list and forget about the Dembele, Capoue as as the two in front of the back four. Lamela on the right is a busted flush and we should in all honesty have started with Lennon. No pace on this line up is very evident and it makes matters worse when you are depending on Dembele moving the ball quickly. He does not do quick.

Could well finish bottom half this season .

Swansea before their current blip look like they could have embarrassed us and quite a few other teams like even Leicester could .

Anyone been watching Noble for West Ham ?
- Missed that penalty against us and on the post match interview said he would be grabbing the ball the next time a penalty came up .
- calmed his goal keeper down last week to keep him on the pitch
- yesterday put through a beautiful ball which lead to a goal .

The guy is now showing real maturity and leadership and has really gone forward .

Tottenham on the other hand seem to be going backwards .

Not sure how our D.O.F. manages to keep his job . Expect some way will be found to blame it on Poch .

3-3 under Sherwood in a "ding dong" of a game.
Schooled by relegation fodder today.

We've managed to go backwards from Sherwood who was vilified for suggesting you don't always need defensive midfielders.

I don't know why someone gave this a 'DOH!' rating - you make a very valid point; we have gone backwards since Sherwood. Not in terms of the result but certainly in terms of the performance. Defensively we are a shambles and we can't score. We were better all over the pitch under Sherwood and at least showed a bit of fight. So far this season we have been hapless and pathetic apart from the win over a very, very poor QPR.

I hate to think of the humiliation that will follow our next game ...

What an utterly ridiculous response. That manager took over a dead and buried QPR team and, although they got relegated, got them promoted at the first attempt.

And after 5-games this season that manager's team is only 3-points behind ours.

He delivered the best football we have played in decades. If he'd stayed at Spurs who knows where we would be know. We'd certainly be playing much better football than we are now I'd wager.

Jesus wept ...

What Poch seemed to say after the game reflected what a lot of us felt - disappointment and anger. His changes also seemed to be of the right nature and at the right time (maybe Lennon about 10 minutes before but we are all wiser in hindsight).

He didn't sound like AVB - "we created plenty of chances, had total domination but were unlucky". Maybe he now realizes that none of our guys are Roy Keane leaders who can grab games by the scruff of the neck and drive forward and therefore need occasional kicks up their backsides. Maybe he also realizes that teams are more defensive minded against us rather than against Southampton and therefore we need to be more flexible tactically.

Either way his interview and tactical switches seemed promising and he can hopefully turn things around quickly. But I still dread next week.

its too soon to compare mate. But Tims big mistake was misjudging when to deploy more defensively minded players in a midfield 2, did he play Chadli there at Anfield for example?

At least he didn't talk total crap after the game like AVB. Clearly summed up everything that was wrong with us. This tactical set up requires high energy, quick pressing and quick quick passing to make it effective (similar to Chelsea/Man City). Guys like Dembele, Paulinho and worryingly Lamela don't look like they have the intellect to make it happen. Benteleb rotates the ball quicker than Dembele.

A very very poor performance - Ade, Eriksen, Lamela, Paulinho - everyone was bad. Dembele and Chiriches were aweful. What is a disappointing is that the solution for variety is not something we have - pace, clear pace. Every single team defends deep and centrally because they know that inverted wing play is our main threat.

I can understand Poch's dilemma to a certain extent, who of Chadli, Ericksen or Lamela does he replace. For me, its the formation that has to get sorted - 4-2-3-1. The 2 defensive midfielders - the one pure defensive (Capoue) and the ticker (Dembele) both don't do a proper job. So then make it a 4-4-2 with one holding (Capoue), Eriksen the deep lying playmaker, Lamela cutting in in one flank, Lennon or someone pacey on the other, with Soldado/Chadli behind Ade and moving to create space.

Come on Poch. We are behind you. Get the guys playing.
If you can (rightly) sum up this tactical game plan, imagine what the more experienced manager is doing?! That has been the game plan and they have sussed us out and made the arrangements to deal with that!
I always wondered if AVB had plan B. I'm beginning to ask the question about MoPo!
IMO the selection of players (Ex. Chiriches) and tactics were wrong yesterday!
The substitution was also not the right ones!

Mate, I really don't understand why he was at fault for yesterday's poor show from 14 Spurs players, a bad team selection, wrong tactics and poor substitution!
Granted he was at fault in the past but we can't blame him for the poor show of these players!
