Does anyone else agree with me that Walker should be tried out in a more right wing position, his pace frightens the life out of full backs and I think last night when we lacked decent wing play and we didn't exploit the width of the pitch it becomes frustrating playing through the middle. Then we could go for a more solid full back or just put Dier there (don't really rate Trippier) and let Wanyama play the holding role alongside Dembele.

He is our right winger.

Monaco beat PSG this year. Thrashed them actually.

Unless you watched the game, or know what happened in the game don't make such stupid comments.

They scored an early goal against the run of play, and David Luiz then gave away a stupid penalty.

Cavani missed a hatful of chances. (Sounds familiar if you watched the Arsenal game, If you know anything, you would also know that he missed more clear cut chances than any forward in Europe's top 5 leagues last season.) They have made an error not replacing Ibra with another goalscorer IMO.

They nicked another on the break.

"Thrashing"

How many games did we dominate and not win due to wasteful finishing last year. ( And in the last day in fact) ? Yet you can look at a score and call it a thrashing?

One swallow does not a summer make, I will lay as much money as you want on Monaco winning the French league.

Yes you can; if your final third is either swamped with bodies taking up the same close space, or so spaced out that you don't have an outlet, then you decrease the ability to pass and move accurately and intelligently, and increase the chance of the opposition winning the ball off you (it's not like they stand still for you).

.

Lamella had time. He dallied as usual. Got closed down and tried to play a ball that wasn't on. In that scenario, you turn round and start again, not try and nutmeg someone in your own half

Schoolboy.

I don't think we were that bad last night. Not great, but good enough to win. Just slightly lacked that killer instinct in final third.

They also got to the CL last season, but out before the groups and into our Europa Group. Good weren't they.....Arguably had more named players last year too. Carvalho, Coentrou, El Shawaarry. Now they have 2 forwards who have scored 20 goals between them in 2 years.....

good league that though.....as you can see with the great players it's produced for Spurs over the last few years. Stambouli.....Capoue......

Oh, you mean Capoue who's scored 3 goals in 4 games and 1 assist this season so far? Yeah he's rubbish.

I would sooner see my nan play at right wing, and shes brown bread.

Not in a million Sundays. If running forward really quickly and doing nothing with it is considered threatening, then Walker is the greatest ever full back.

I liked Wales tactics in the Euros. Almost as if Davies said to Coleman....."Let Walker have it". And they did.

He can't put in a whipped head height cross for toffee. He will only run at a man with 20+ yards of space to run into.

You only have to look to our left to see what threat looks like. Rose can beat a man, and has a more consistent, but still poor cross. If he could cross well, I think he would be the worlds best full back.

Listen to yourself!!!

he's playing for Watford for a reason!!

he didn't get a sniff with us because he wasn't on that level!!!

Any player in our league can have a purple patch. Literally any one. No matter how poor over the course of their career, they can get a run.

"Oh he's played well for a few games, he's world class"

Christ.

Didn't say he was "world class" did I. The fact that you're calling him shit is a bit of a stretch though don't you think.

That Hugo chap we've got in goal its a bit shit too, isn't he?
How far do you want to take it?

Squillaci
Boumsong
Gervinho
Marlet
Cheyrou
Diomede
Bellion
Guivarch
Cabella

Top players in France. Horseshit here

Yeah, you have your Cabaye's etc. But they have proven themselves to be good for poor teams. As soon as Cabaye went to a big club, he didn't get a game.

You could say that really, there are no shit players in the league's starting line ups..... But that depends where you want to set your benchmark.

I know strikers go through bad patches but if players were picked on form alone then Kane should of been dropped to the bench from March on-wards of last season, he's been so off the boil the burner's not even been lit...it's time to let Jansen have a run!

Our performance was OK no way did we deserve to lose that game on chances and possession we were the better team however we were exposed defensively and failed to be clinical enough in front of goal....it was classic sucker punching.

We need to be much more Street wise and tbh this defeat might be exactly what we needed.... I hope so.

I did watch it, to see our opponent, and it proves one thing only. In today's football possession is becoming less and less important. It also proves, as in our case, that you have to put chances away (see Burnley Liverpool). Having a hatful of them means absolutely nothing at the end of the day. Having two and putting them away is better than havng 25 and missing. Monaco are by no means shit, though.

I disagree, Monaco had our measure for the majority of the game.

They let us have the ball in non threatening areas.
