Basically saying. Don't be groany ****s and make all these players (that look much better away from home) look like their scared to do anything beyond a simple pass...

Sad that it needs to be said, but you can tell the players feel it when we have a half decent crowd reaction (against Everton) and pretty much every player takes to twitter/facebook to praise the wonderful fans. (trying for positive reinforcement)

It's bad news bears when yet another.manager needs to tell the fans to support the team

Play well and you wont have to worry about it, the crowd will be behind the team.
Play poor slow boring sideways backwards bore us to tears dross then rightly expect some moaning. Preferably after the match mind not during.

You have to appreciate that some of our players are "useless" and that "fast" and "incisive passing" is beyond their skill set.

)

Some imbecile gave me a 'doh!' for suggesting that the support of the home fans can make a big difference to the player's performance.

While I agree in theory, I think poch is thinking back to the everton game where the crowd were fucking incredible.

It's the same sort of level of team and huge crowd support could sway it.

(but yes I agree)

Not sure thats true.
We've seen them all do it in fits and farts.
Everton game was the most sustained period. Prior to that the longest duration was about 10min lol.

What do you mean ? We played like Barcelona for the first 18 minutes at the Bridge...

I am pretty sure AVB tried this approach with the fans.

It didn't work.

White Hart Lane is filled with a lot of 'shit' fans - that is something we just have to deal with, they aren't going to change.

though i think the home crowd should be supportive regardless of how badly we're playing, all the team need to do is have a fast start and try and take their opponents on. if they did that then i don't think there'd ever be a problem.

hopefully 1882 will be out in force tonight. they are true supporters.
