Of course the headline is trying to sensationalise it... He didn't actually say that.

Fans wont dictate to him if Kane starts and apparently form and common sense wont either.

Honestly I couldn't careless where Kane was born, he should be playing whilst he is on form .....He is more on form than Ghaly FFS!

The problem is Kane on form in Europe and cups. In the premier league he needs time. The team is playing shit. Playing Kane will not give the team a lift. If he plays shit then it means the WHL faithful start to turn on him too.

Leave him on the bench play Soldado. Kane can come off the bench or start up front with Soldado

Kane is rested for the important game, cups. Fourth looks very difficult this season. But if we can win a cup then that's Europe and possibly Champions League football. And Poch gets silverware in his first season. We used to love a bit of that at Spurs. Screw Ade and the League. It's time to be a cup team again until Poch has time to get the squad he wants to build.

And in the meantime shall the fans who pay to go to the lane just watch the awful dross we have had dished up?

I would love a cup and grew up with us being an incredible cup team who played cavalier football but I can't stomach the garbage we have been served in the league.

Poch will get time but this slump must end today and if that means trying an inform striker over a struggling forward then let's put out a team to get 3 points.

The cup run and win would be great but we have yet to play a good team so I wouldn't bank on it

I agree;Spurs have to get Soldado scoring...he has looked more like he can turn his game around than Ade recently.

As a fan who goes to the Lane I get the dross whether I accept it or not. Watching Kane, Soldado and Lamela starting to form an understanding in the cup has been a rare highlight this season. And we are just more likely to have our hopes dashed in the league by better teams than in the cup. The draw can be lucky. In the league sooner or later you face them all.

No MoPo, there is more pressure to play Kane because he scores goals, not because he is English.

What do goals make?

Points.

Take a leaf out of Bill Nicholson's book and stop over-complicating it.

I'd like to hear Poch's reasons for picking Adebayor. It's all well and good saying he won't be pressured into picking Kane - fair enough, but Ade's form is dreadful and he looks like he still has remnants of malaria or simply can't be arsed. I'd have Soldado and Kane ahead of him all day long at the moment. Hope Poch hasn't painted himself into a corner with his comments.

For real? He's like David Cameron and Boris Johnson, completely out of touch. He score goals that's why he should play, I don't give a fuck whether he's English or from Jupiter.

The most important aspect is of course picking the right players in the right positions, and making sure the chemistry is right. Not many are happy with his efforts to date, but everyone hopes he can turn it around beginning today.

The secondary problem is being worked into unhelpful headlines, whether related to pitch size, players nationalities or whatever other irrelevance. He's leaving his chin open, when i for one would be happy for him just to spout platitudes. Preferably in Spanish. Or get better advice from whoever is assisting him in our legendary pr department.

We can't ignore common sense here. Its soooo obvious that Kane..and Soldado & Lamela combo are gelling (aside from the haircuts) better than others.By no means I'm saying ostricize every other players. And yes pinch of salt to opposition they faced. Its no brainer for me anyway. How will he know if won't work.. in the League..if he doesnt play it. Take it where going to play 10 men against villa dooh!

Of course the headline is trying to sensationalise it... He didn't actually say that.

They never usually do.

Do think that some people sometimes forget how interviews work. Managers and players aren't coming out and making these statements off their own back, they are obligated to field the questions asked.

Most of these stories are pre-written before the journalist even attends the press conference, and the responses made are taken out of context to justify that angle.

That's not say the calls for Kane aren't valid. But that headline is ridiculously OTT and the story, when boiled down to its component parts, is, as you say, a non-story.
