I can only agree with the Soldado, Kane and Lamela trio, add in Eriksen or Chadli and play then consistently for 5/6 games.
Do the same at the back too. Play the same back 5 and the same MFs and let them all get to know each others game.

Viola we will gradually have a TEAM who know how to play together.

Surely fit professional footballers can manage 2 games a week for 2/3 weeks!!

They never usually do.

Do think that some people sometimes forget how interviews work. Managers and players aren't coming out and making these statements off their own back, they are obligated to field the questions asked...

Then again, there are off the record briefing too.
The press cannot directly reference these but they can bend the PR releases a little closer to the truth.

MP must be aware that his spiritual leader AVB went through the same thing with Defoe. Both managers seem to think the core problem at the club is the fans' insistence on primitive attacking football.

They want to re-educate us to appreciate patient narrow inert possession football and efficient 0-0 draws. MP certainly doesn't want any input on formations and who should play from us.

Have having said that, today's game is a self inflicted 6 pointer - grinding out a 0-0 draw in the circumstances would be a good result for us.

I don't think Poch thinks we should appreciate that at all. To me he seems as disappointed with us as I would expect.

Yes on off the record briefings. But that's not the case here, it's a distorted comment from a press conference

No MoPo, there is more pressure to play Kane because he scores goals, not because he is English.

What do goals make?

Points.

Take a leaf out of Bill Nicholson's book and stop over-complicating it.
And what do points make? Prizes!

Kane is rested for the important game, cups. Fourth looks very difficult this season. But if we can win a cup then that's Europe and possibly Champions League football. And Poch gets silverware in his first season. We used to love a bit of that at Spurs. Screw Ade and the League. It's time to be a cup team again until Poch has time to get the squad he wants to build.

We aint winning no cup anywhere this year!

So? He has still struggled in the Premiership.

He is still expected to perform. His £30m price tag and his clear talent will lead him to play, and rightly so. For that money you expect that player to play

The fact that Kane, Chad head, Erik the Dane are the only attacking players who can score and Ade and Robbie the impotent soldier could not score in a Thai brothel with a tonne of cash. I think means Kane has to start.

For real? He's like David Cameron and Boris Johnson, completely out of touch. He score goals that's why he should play, I don't give a fuck whether he's English or from Jupiter.

By that token you could argue Tony Blair and ken living stone have to be two of the worst politians this country has ever seen so Boris Johnson and David Cameron have to start. Don't get why politics is being brought in to a football post.

Right now, it looks like Adebayor's the one dictating who starts.
More like Adebayor being given enough rope to hang himself in plain sight of Levy. Maybe, Poch is trying to avoid the mistake that AVB made when he took on Adebayor.

The most important aspect is of course picking the right players in the right positions, and making sure the chemistry is right. Not many are happy with his efforts to date, but everyone hopes he can turn it around beginning today.

The secondary problem is being worked into unhelpful headlines, whether related to pitch size, players nationalities or whatever other irrelevance. He's leaving his chin open, when i for one would be happy for him just to spout platitudes. Preferably in Spanish. Or get better advice from whoever is assisting him in our legendary pr department.
I don't know why the club insisted he speaks in English. The post-match interviews are banal and so why put pressure on him.

Robbie's wife just gave birth to a boy. Robbie's not impotent.

You could...but that argument would be defeated very easily.
Don't get why politics is being brought in to a football post.

Just venting. I have a intense dislike of those two and all things Tory, except Kenneth Clark perhaps, he's pretty funny.
