The first man to walk barefoot across the hot coals was Xesco Espar, the coach of FC Barcelona’s hand-ball team. The second man across was Mauricio Pochettino.

This was at Spurs Lodge last Wednesday, for a night of team-building exercises.

Imagine getting burnt then accidentally getting blisters in their feet, thus affecting the way they kick/run..

Just reading that makes me feel more positive about the final.

I think Trippier needs exercises in evading dangerous situations.

This bit really irks me:

And now Spurs are one game away from an achievement – winning the Champions League as an outsider – that would be unmatched in modern football history.

If we win the Champions League, it wouldn't be some Disney, against-all-odds, underdog fairytale story like LCFC wining the EPL was. We are supposed to be competitive and if not favourites, at least have some kind of realistic chance of winning it. The fact we're being treated like like is a stealthy insult.

in 2005, Liverpool finished 5th - outside the Champions League qualification places until they gained special dispensation from UEFA to qualify. They finished 37 points behind the EPL leaders that year with 14 losses. Yes, i'm looking at you, Souness. They weren't the favourites but they weren't treated like we are either.

Had to read it too, as I need some positive feeling now.

I am trying to enjoy the moment, need to enjoy the moment, as this opportunity doesn't come along that often.

Moreover, we need to get use to this feeling. If we want to start competing for honours, title and trophies.

Harold initiated the whole 'team bonding arrow' thing at Hastings. Luckily there have been some refinements since then.

Will the capitalists like Levy and Joe Lewis be scared of him now that he says that he's like Che?:)
