The Cynic in me says that when things are this good, it isnt good for long. Poch is the most likely target at the moment. Then maybe Kane in the summer. If a team like Utd, City or Chelsea came in for him I dread to think. I hope he likes it here.

Isn't it great to hear this being written about our club.

So many years of anti-Spurs rhetoric and this from a stalwart Man Utd man.

Gary Neville is just a pleasure to read - by far the most interesting person writing on football right now, despite his somewhat homespun, blunt writing style (which is obvously being sub-edited very lightly, and that's a good thing).

There is absolutely no bullshit. Very few clichés. There is the authentic voice of someone who takes no shit and issues scathing criticism when it is warranted - and all that makes the glowing testimonial that is this piece 100 times more powerful.

He's been to our training ground and has cast his critical eye. He has been there when our England players turned up and has seen the change in their attitude. He understands what it takes to form a team into a unit and what can go wrong inside a football club.

I find this article more exciting and more reassuring than all of the other "Spurs on the rise" bandwagon-jumping articles we've had over the past month. Times 10.

From the outside it feels like there is real unity and harmony in our team, and therefore our club, much of that is down to Poch and his team. It's vital that over the next few seasons as we prepare for the new ground that we maintain and improve on this. I'm sure Daniel Levy will be proactive and give MP a new contract rather than allow a richer club (richer but maybe not better or happier) to unsettle him with filthy PetroDollars or Roubles in the coming months. It doesnt seem as though there is much harmony and happiness at Chels or Utd right now?
Lets pray that we keep it all together and grow as a unit ,rather than allow the vultures to pick off the best bits, as in previous years.

I don't like Neviille personally as a pundit or a coach but he is a straight talker and expresses his point of view even if somewhat biased. I feel he has just jumped on the latest Spurs wave of optimism in the press just to mak sure he is on the right side if our progress continues. He will also be the one of the first to slagg us off given the chance.
We have improved as a TEAM, we have some outstanding individuals but Poch has built a TEAM and a culture at the club that we as supporters have not seen in years. Win or loose on Sunday we will continue to progress as a TEAM. Poch for England......not Neville seems more realistic to me in the long term but staying at Spurs for me is more important.COYS

I think that Pochettino is the best thing that's happened to Tottenham, because he has sorted out what was wrong at Tottenham. The man is the most precious asset our club has. Those who disparaged him can now eat their words! Levy deserves praise for getting him and more importantly, backing him.

In recent weeks Neville has always spoken positively about Spurs. I think that maybe, just maybe, his role as an England coach let's him really see the difference in the attitude of Spurs players to many others. Compare them to sat Grealish. And if players get out of line Poch will have none of it. Like all top managers it's his way or no way and right now it is working a treat.

Not really fussed if Neville or any other pundit loves or hates Spurs but it is nice to see some respect

I wonder if he sees parallels with fergies "clearing the decks" season when several senior players were sold in the summer to give game time to Neville giggs scholes etc and those homegrown players galvanised the team spirit and work ethic for the next decade

Wonder what Nevilles opinion of Jack Wilshere is? Nasty little toe rag hopefully.

He probably has more of an opinion on Wilshere's ankle, because that's the only part of his body that had been relevant to England.

Nice interview with Mason in tonight's Evening Standard where he talks about how close and together the whole squad is. He made reference to it being the best atmosphere he has experienced and also that they have each other's back on the pitch (he was talking about Allis yellow against West Ham).

Just all sounds very positive and encouraging overall

I'm hoping that the fact we have so many homegrown and young players might mean that theysee that the impact of doing something special with us, rather than at one of the usual winning big clubs, will mean so much more.

Hopefully Poch will be thinking the same, be just another manager who wins the league at a Chelsea, City, Utd etc or become a legend and win some trophies at Spurs.
