When you've got two matches to do it over, it is too much of a risk to use all your best players. What if you had seen an injury on Kane or Mason? You must try to grind out a result taking as few risks as possible. It was not the selection that was the problem, but the lack of diverse tactics and plan Bs. Not tactic to defend a lead, no tactic to break down a structured defence, and no plan for making great subs.

Funny to see you compare Poch to AVB and comment on Ade in the same post. According to many, AVB was a jerk to sideline Ade, but for now nobody is calling Poch a jerk, even if Ade is not even close to the bench.Poch is far more stubborn than even AVB was.
It was ironic really, because I think Adebayor would have matched up well against their defence and I am hoping we send him out to Italy to play, even if that is alongside Soldado.
