Mauricio Pochettino jumped to the defence of Hugo Lloris and insisted his performance was the reason Tottenham left Manchester with a draw.

Poch is right, he had a couple of bad moments but there's no other keeper I'd rather have.

Glad Hugo dropped all the clangers in one single match, and we still ended with a draw.

Normal stability to resume I hope, and this nightmare will be forgiven and forgotten.

We would have been 4-0 down at half time had it not been for him. I will hold nothing against Hugo. You can't be perfect all the time. Truth was, that Bravo had two shots on target to save and let both in - how many saves did Hugo make?
I rest my case.

I think the saves he made were standard enough. Maybe one good one. But he fucked up twice and cost us two goals. We can't let our bias for him blind us to it. He had a bad game and must do better.

Standard saves lol I don't think you remember we use to have some very poor keepers at the club in the past.Hugo did have a bad game and made to mistakes that cost us against a top team with world class playersbut then he is probably the main reason we are top 4.

Loris is world class. One of the best keepers in the world. But he was at fault for both goals. He can't not accept responsibility just because he's class.

No one is having a dig at him or saying he's s*** (which is quite surprising for SC).

Oh i do remember. Hugo reminded me twice yesterday.

But he is a great keeper so I'll know he'll be kicking himself and demanding better of himself. He should be because great players can always improve further.

Gomes would have been roasted for that . .. just saying . .....
True - but Gomes wouldn't consistently save what would have been certain goals (just the odd wonder save every now and then), and would drop clanger rather more frequently than Lloris.

Bit like Kane missing a barn door chance vs. Soldado.

It's not bias. You only call them standard because he had set the standard. He is the keeper with most shots saved in the league. He cost us? Come on. Without him there wouldn;t even be a game, that's how good the rest of the team were.

The defence and general play was abysmal, this in then left Loris with a LOT of work. The first goal wasn't his fault, he was under unnecessarily pressure.
2nd was a poor mistake and unfortunate KdB was right there.

It's not really Loris that needs to sort himself out, it's the team and specifically, the defence.

It wasn't all about how poor our defence was - I think we should add that Man City were very, very good. Were it not for low confidence and dithering on their part, they could/should have been out of sight by half time.

I thought it was a little naive of Pochettino to play 3 at the back. I actually thought we'd play a back 4 and have Dier and Wanyama in central midfield along with Dembele. Eriksen and Alli behind Kane.

We've been so good with the back three, I guess he thought we could just compete as usual but it seems City had our number.

I'm only saying what he'll be telling himself. No point living in denial. He's been brilliant in nearly all the other games this season but he'll be kicking himself for yesterday.

But we changed to a back 4 twenty mins into the game & it didn't improve us defensively

We just had our best performance of the season playing a back 3

Trouble is that had he changed it and had we not come out with a positive result then he would have been criticised so in theory he got it right and changed it when he saw it wasn't working.
