They say you need two hearts to play for him. They say that Monday to Friday he is hated by his squad but come match-day they love him.

Not sure about this - Juande Ramos' had a backbreaking training regime, and that didn't go so well. Hopefully the lads will understand why they need to suffer in the week to win on the weekend (or on Monday nights for games moved by Sky).

It all sounds great but I get the feeling the media are sharpening their knives eagerly waiting for Poch to fail.

Thye will understand so long as they do win. It is keeping them on board if the results do not go our way which will be the challenge; particularly if, as the article suggests, a few senior players are feeling marginalised.

One us our last trophy though! Not sure it was Ramos' fault that Keane and Berba were sold and poorly replaced either.

He also had no prem experience which didn't help. The boys at Southampton loved Poch so it can't have been that bad.

Worry ye not.

It'll be interesting to see how he'll fare when we have to balance the league, league cup, FA cup and Europa League while rotating and instilling his philosophy.

At Soton, he could afford himself the luxury of fielding almost the same eleven every game. He can't this time around.

Personally think if results don't go our way we should sack the players and not the manager.

The majority of players in this squad have had too many chances and have failed repeatedly.

It was only under Harry that they performed and when things got hard or didn't go their way they threw their dummies out the prams rather than win their place back or not fight for the cause.

Sandro and Verts were culprits of that last season, I hope if we see that again, we get rid of them. A number of players have done same over the last five years.

No player is bigger than the club.

I personally have a good feeling about Pochettino and feel if we stay with him, we will achieve greatness.

There is an evident unity about the squad at the moment, that wasn't there under AVB or Sherwood.
When AVB was in charge it always seemed to be about Bale taking the focus and the plaudits. Both AVB and Sherwood alienated certain squad members rather than choosing to find the best role for some of them.

I think it will be completely different environment/atmosphere under Pochettino. The players seem eager to prove that this season they are ready to take a step forward and take responsibility for matters on the pitch.

Notable also that a few players who were prone to tweeting left, right and centre seem to have gone a little bit quieter now. Can't be a bad thing!

Comparisons to Ramos are superficial. Sure sessions are tough but he puts in just as much effort. First to arrive and last leave. Walk on coals? He goes first.

Bottom line: he sets an example for the players which is why they are so motivated to play for him. His methods may be unorthodox but he gets results. He doesn't put fake names in an envelope in an attempt to copy another coach's leadership style. He has his own style that quite simply separates the men from the boys. It's about time we had a coach in charge as opposed to the string of 'managers' we've run through.

F-me, if we lose to that pile of cack again I'll... probably just accept the humiliation and move on, just as I have always done supporting this club ;)

If we do lose, it will be the fourth (FOURTH!!!) time in 12mths. I honestly, truly, without use of hyperbole, will DIE if that happens.... :(

Well that's not true about AVB, the players looked as happy as ever in his first season.

Do Tottenham HAVE senior players? (apart from Brad that is)
