Love his professional nature, but can tell he was not a happy camper and probably laid into the men that are in that locker room. The complacency of some is disheartening especially after some very big wins domestically and internationally. Eriksen for one has just lifted his foot off the pedal and I realize he has played a lot and runs more than any other player, but his attempts at creative passing are putrid as of late. Dude needs a rest I feel, but until Lamela is fully match fit, we might not see that.

I wish Eriksen had a rest in the Ireland Match ))

You cannot afford to not fight or compete and then go and play and win games. In the Premier League if you don't fight first and compete, be sure you will struggle with the result and the performance

Will be interesting to see the first 5mins against Watford.

But TT we've started lethargically in 3 of the last 4 games, that's what has surprised me most, the fact he hasn't got a response yet.

Either he isn't seeing it or they ain't responding...

My guess is it's the lack of threat of losing their place, for some.

Not enough negative consequence for not doing what's required.

His own making tbf as he refuses to drop out-of-form players.

The other possibility is the larger Wembley pitch means the players are cover almost an additional square meters of space rather than the narrow white Hart Lane.

So does the opposition.

I'd like to see Poch try going back to a back 4 and get Son on.

Dier in midfield or try Winks playing with Dembele rather than Sissoko. Sissoko has good strength on the ball but his passing is often off.

to be honest Vardy's first goal was a peach, and the second goal saw us pushing up and getting pegged back on the break.

It's clear to me the lads are dining out on champion league nights and giving up on the prem.

we are missing key players and others are not fit. Toby, Wanyama, Dembele, Rose, Wink, Kane, Alli,

We haven't got the strength in depth to contend without these core contingent, in good form.

If we can stay in touch with the top 4, and get a good run in the cups, we should take that and regroup for next year i believe.

Agree. First things first, though, Poch needs to kick them up the arse, and remind them how good it feels to go out and WIN.

Yes so does the opposition but there is the issue of accumulated fatigue over the course of the season

Don't buy the fatigue issue at all, not 4 months into a season, could understand in March time possibly.

The thing that struck me most about the Leicster game?
Imagine if we had a Vardy and a Mahrez in the squad?
You could rest Eriksen, Dele, and Kane when injured or play Kane with Vardy etc etc - the options are endless....at the moment we have no options nor do we have any real competition for places ....and that is, as ThinkTank points out, the key.
If we want to step up to the plate against the Manchester Clubs and give Europe a really good go.....We need that additional quality in the squad.

Except that we won't pay that type of quality enough to sit on the bench.

Maybe.....but we pay Son an awful lot when we should be paying Dele Alli to! ;-)
( a joke for clarity).

We do do it in defence - so why don't we have it in the final third?
I think competition is the key word - if you look at Toby, Victor, Dembele, Rose, being out ...we do have quality cover.

But we do not in the final third of the pitch.

For me...it is the missing piece - lacking competition/freshness in those areas is why we're not at the Big Club's level if we do not have all our players fit and running.

N'Kou just ain't going to do it! Maybe a fit again Lamela might....

I hope we see a change in policy when we get into the new stadium. I believe in the old adage that success is built from the back and I think Poch does too - hence the squad depth in that area. Front players are a bit harder to deal with though in that they tend to throw more of a strop if they don't play enough. We can't offer the gargantuan wages required to shut them up like City, Chelsea etc but I certainly agree that we need more quality there.

Because attackers command a higher premium than defensive players which is why we always struggle to obtain them.
