Is this new news? He had a year left, there was an additional year activated by PSG when we were sniffing around. That’s two. Nuno signed a two year deal. This was all discussed a couple of weeks ago unless I’m missing something?

No. All the rumours about how he was unhappy etc were just a delusion. Perhaps he'll return, one day, but it's rarely good to retread old ground.
