Great news. I don't imagine for a second that Levy & co have ever wanted to go through the litany of managers that we have seen; I'm pretty sure Hoddle would still have been in charge of things had worked out differently.

I'll properly celebrate when pen is put to paper, but this is a big statement & I can imagine the group that he has constructed will be buoyed by the news, which I hope carries over now for the rest of the season. Its important we now finish the season strongly & prepare for the next.

Excellent news. I'm sure that others will follow in signing new deals now they know the direction we're heading. The media will have to move on to someone else now.

I hope you have some control over future transfers Mauricio; also beware of verbal agreements...otherwise, great news

At a guess, I would say he probably used this moment to announce it to give the players a lift after the WB game. They probably need it before Going to a hate filled Stamford bridge.

Great news, was in work last night arguing with a couple of guys who insisted he would go to the highest bidder cos 'they're all mercenaries '. They just don't see the same man we do.

Sky sports Tuesday: PSG My dream job

Sky sports Friday AM: Pochettino could leave (thinks Matt Le Tissier)

Sky Sports Friday PM: Pochettino agrees new deal

Either sky sports decided to try to engineer the move so they could report it. Or they were fed news to force the clubs hand into a new deal.

Very pleased although it is just a verbal agreement I feel it will be signed. Happy club, happy Manager, happy players and happy fans. Statistically 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not Happy.....had to get that one in.
Hopefully the start of a new era and for once after too many years....stability.....not a word I would have used before to discribe the previous years of ups and downs at Spurs.

We need Poch I'm so glad he's staying. We now need to give him everything he asks for, so pay rises for players he wants to keep or transfer funds for anyone he wants to bring in. He's shown how good he is and every big club out there will be thinking if we don't give him everything then they will. We should have champions league football so that's more money for Levy to give him, I just hope he doesn't try to interfere in any decisions. We're so lucky to have a manager that every other in the world wants, it doesn't happen often for us.

He didn't say that PSG was his dream job, what he said was that he would like to manage a big club like PSG. He also said that Ligue 1 was weak. He's going to have a connection to PSG, having been their captain. He has also said that he would love to be able to have the longevity of Wenger and it was in reference to Tottenham.

Might help us get some early transfer business over the line as well. Great piece of news.
