A) I'm not suggesting we double anyone's wages
And
B) Chelsea, Man City, Man U, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and other clubs like Leicester and West Ham obviously feel that investing in players will give them a better chance of getting into Europe otherwise why would they?

It's all a gamble but you've got to be in it to win it.

no but to keep them out the hands of others we would need to double them

look at all those teams on who they have signed and lost, or look like losing, then ask if they are stronger.

Chelsea only have 14-15 players with PL experience, and due to lack of fixtures and injuries went onto win the league. next season they will have the extra fixtures that doesn't allow you to get away with too much rotation.

Leicester and Wet Spam need to improve to avoid being in a relegation fight.

Man U are they stronger now, and why? Ibra is world class, Lukaku not yet and might not still, playing for Everton and WBA while on loan did a very good job, but will Man U play to what suits his game.

Man C are just doing what they always do trying to buy the title, we can't do that.

we now have a very young squad that over the last 2 seasons have grown together, and last season we were stronger not just because of Wanyama but because of the season before. most seasons 86pts would win the league, but we suffered because Chelsea won 30 matches, not because Levy never paid the players enough

lol what do you suggest them giving them a £10,15k pay rise? Sorry that's not going to cut it and you have to remember whatever we offer these players there's always going to be another team who can increase it and pay them more.

The wages argument is so redundant, we're never going to give our players a significant increase to what everyone thinks they should be earning.

WFT? The whole point is that this window is the game changer, it's got nothing to do with last season, how many points we got or how much Levy paid the players THEN. It what this window has done to the market which means we need to compete better in terms of wages.

And to suggest that Man U aren't stronger - or that Lukaku isn't world class when he scored 4-less goals than Harry Kane in one of the toughest leagues in the world (and the same amount of goals as Cristiano Ronaldo) is, frankly, the statement that proves this conversation is pointless - so let's agree to disagree dude.
