"The Tottenham boss is desperate to shake up his strike force and misfiring Adebayoris set to be offloaded"

Could add Soldado to that as well. The system is the fault not the strikers. I'd bet anyone that whoever he brings in that playing the 4-2-3-1 will bring the same results. Zero goals.

Wanna count up the relative numbers of Ade assists vs. Soldado assists?

Assists at what exactly. Please explain what you mean by these phantom assists? Please count them up and roll them out on here. Please just once.

We have scored a mighty fourteen goals this season in eleven games, and four of those in one game. So roughly a goal a game?

Where the fuck does all Soldado's assist's come from when he hasn't started more than three of those games?

You just make stuff up as you go along. I do think we need another option up front, but whoever gets picked to play the single striker is failing, and proof of that is evident. That has fuck all to do with being top of the assist list between Ade or Soldado nothing whatsoever. Both Ade and Soldado (and you can throw Kane in to the ring) are paid to score goals, and not to become a top assist artiste.

If you haven't realised in "soccer" teams do not get points for assists, it's actually goals that count, some of which do not actually require an assist in any bloody case.

Fucks sake.

Soldado is a key component to any functional attacking football we play.

He contributes every game regardless of not scoring.

Ade is just taking the piss.

Comedy gold.

A non scoring striker who contributes. Interesting, original and very much Tommy Cooperish. Perhaps Poch should slot him in next to Verts next week?.

Ade will not be going anywhere until his contract is up.

I see where you're coming from but the system we are playing is supposed to suit Ade's style, whereas Soldado really plays better when there are two up front, something we rarely do any more.
Another thing to think about, is Adebeyor really suited to our system? Sure he's supposedly suited to playing up front on his own. But that's in a 451 or 4411 line up. This dismal 4231 with 2 completely defensive midfielders is what's strangling the life out of this team.

No striker will thrive under this system.

Under AVB and Poch Ade has struggled and the same with Soldado. Not at all surprising that Ade hit 14 in 26 when Sherwood returned to a 4-4-2 most weeks.
