He is among the worst senior players at the club and only sneaks himself into the match day squad when there is a high enough number of injured or unfit players. I can't wait for the day when the squad is solid enough that we will not have to pray for him having one of his positive flukes. And no, I don't care what he cost us. His flaws are absolute, not relative.
Being one of the worst players at a club that has finished in the top 3 for 4 straight seasons, had 2 FAC semi finals, 1 league cup final and put in decent champions league shows last year doesn't make him a bad player.
Being one of the worst players at a club bottom of the league with less points than a triangle makes you a bad player.

World we live in today. Everything is either fucking amazing or shit. Nothing inbetween.

That's bollocks. He does well in what he is expected to do. The fact that most here expect the impossible from him is their problem. I do sometimes curse under my breath at Sissoko, but I also do so at others. The problem with MS is that no one sees the positives (eg. the Barca game, where he came on and was a strong presence on the field with a few powering runs and interceptions), and they only focus on the negative (the Barca game again, where he apparently cost us something - although we were already beaten).

I thought it was very unfair he got blamed at all for that last goal at barca. Lloris was the clear culprit there making a hash of receiving the throw in and put everyone in to a panic mode.

Lloris to Trippier, when a goal down and pressing was bad enough.
Trippier to Sissoko, in his own half, at throat height and full power was just insane.

Not at all, we have our fair share of players who are eternally stuck in the neverland of mundane nothingness, the realm of all the averages, and the barren region of nigh adequate. Then we have players who are simply bad.

Plenty of good things in this. Things he rarely gets a clap for.

Send this to Liverpool.

Think he just looks awkward running with the ball. It just looks like he's about to fall over at any moment.

Never actually looks in control. He played well on Saturday and I'm glad he played well but it will take a lot more for me to have confidence in him.

We don't have players that are bad. If they were bad they would not be professional footballers or have international caps. They'd be kicking a ball over hackney marshes and driving a white van for a living.

Can we improve on some of them? Yes and we should try. But they deserve some respect while putting on our shirt.

Perception is a weird thing.

He gets us the assist that gives us 3 points rather than 1, and still some feel the need to point out his negatives.

o_O

Maybe they are doing that because the perception now being imposed on everyone is that he is a good player and we should forget his naff games.

That's assuming the world is a fair and equitable place in which every person gets as deserved.
It's not.

If I remember, we weren't beaten at 2:3, we were well upsetting and worrying them.

Not at all

People should just give him credit when he does play well.
Iirc, in his first season, he had a game against Leverkousen in the CL and he was horrendous. I was convinced we'd been sold a footballer imposter.
That'll be my lasting memory of him. It doesn't stop me applauding a good game and good contributions.
He plays for the club I support and gives it a go.

Until they actually started to pile on the pressure, so basically moved out of first gear, which was when he was placed under unnecessarily pressure by our own.

He's 100% got the Zokora, Zokoro, Zakaro or whatever boots on. Id prefer if he does his work without trying to finish himself.

So you think that saying he deserves praise when he does well and criticism when he doesn't is bollocks. Think I've heard it all now.

People are not paying attention, most of the time Sissoko gets heavily criticised regardless of how he plays.

No, I'm saying it's bollox as I haven't actually witnessed much praise for Sissoko when it was due, but I've seen tonnes of criticism when it wasn't. Suddenly everyone is a fair assessor.

Not so, not so.

That's pure 'Marshism' and 'White Van man' prejudice.
I've done both of those and will be talking to my legal representatives.

I must confess I play a game with a mate where we count the number of times Sissoko messes up and cause a turnover of possession or some such. It was up to 7 within the first 25 minutes at which point I stopped counting.

The super save from Lloris was a chance created directly by Sissoko's inaction in the right back area. So to say he had a good game just because he got the assist is stretching it a bit, from my point of view. I consider him a liability on very high wages.

In my (humble) opinion we deserve more competent and higher quality at Spurs. Is he really going to be with us another 2.5 seasons?
